2024.11.28 15:50 Bevlar90 Not passed probation and feeling quite low
So at the start of the year I was informed my job was at risk of redundancy. Sadly I didn’t get a role within that company and had to take it. I found a job which I was in for 6 months until today where I was informed I haven’t passed my probation. I wasn’t enjoying the role, but I’m feeling very low, like I’ve let myself and my partner down. I don’t really know what the future holds now and I’m quite scared. I have about 7k in savings which will see me through for a 3-4 months hopefully. But yeah, just looking for some advise.

After spending two days in shock, I remembered what happened 10 years ago in Model Town Lahore. How people were butchered in broad day light by Law enforcement agencies. Media captured the footage that day, we saw a pregnant lady die on screen with bullets in her neck.
The difference this time was that they learned to do it after dark and with the lights off for the whole area.
How conveniently no one was charged for the crimes committed that day.
So I thought to myself. Its the same fascist N League, there were the same threats of "5-min firing by rangers", so why am I surprised again?

2024.11.28 15:50 widdershins_4897 TLWAT - It grew on me
Unfortunately I was out of town on a work trip last week and wasn't really able to sit down and enjoy TLWAT upon release, however I monitored this sub and started to get kinda nervous. I'm a long time Opeth listener and over two decades have grown to enjoy both their heavy and their melodic/prog styles, so I didn't know what to expect when I finally got to listen to it this week.
First time through: "Hmm, that's interesting... Whoah hell yeah that song rules... Is that a flute?... 'HEY!'...OK WTF is going on..."
All in all there was a lot going on and I decided I needed a few more listens to process. Over a few days I listened all the way through a handful more times and it no longer sounds weird or different to me, my overall impression is that it's heavier than what I've heard in a while and I think I like it.
All that to say: if you think it's weird, listen to it again. If you still don't like it, that's OK too!

Pour le coup c'est sûrement une question très idiote pour le coup, mais je comprends pas en quoi c'est plus écologique. Parce que au fond, oui je ne ressors pas du magasin avec un emballage jetable. Mais il y a quand même bien eu un emballage jetable d'utilisé pour transporter le produit de l'usine vers le vrac, non ?
Un gros emballage unique est-il vraiment beaucoup plus écologique qu'une multitude de petits emballages ?
Après j'imagine qu'il y a un détail ou ordre de grandeur que je n'ai pas vu que c'est admit que le vrac est plus écologique.
