Hello, I don’t know much about the theories or physics, so maybe someone can help explain to me how the difference choices I am facing would impact the car’s driving characteristics.
Here is the context. The car is a BMW m240i xdrive from 2024. The stock summer tires are Front 245/35r19 and rear is 255/35r19. I am looking for the optimal setup for winter driving performance. Where I live the winters are mostly rainy and cold. There typically isn’t much deep snow, though I would occasionally drive away from the city for ski trips where deeper snow might be encountered.
The owner manual gives the following 3 options:
A: Square setup 225/45r18.
B: Staggered Front 225/45r18 and Rear 255/40r18
C: Staggered Front 225/40r19 and Rear 255/35r19
My question is what is the best option? I don’t care about the cost of the tire or its longevity, I just want the best performance. I heard the Michelin Pilot Alpine 5 is a good tire, so it is currently on my short list, along with the Continental WinterContact TS860. I suppose if I was always driving in deep heavy snow option A might be great, but if I am mostly driving only in wet and cold roads not much in snow, would B and C be better? Also is there a big difference between B and C since the widths are the same, it is only the rim size which is different?
Finally, though these are the manual’s sizes for winter tires, is it possible to deviate from the manual and say consider another option like D: Square 245/40R19?

The field that I want to enter is called devops engineer or linux system administration. While scripting is used here, it's nothing like software development. It's very easy. And mostly its yamls. Bash scripting is rarely preferred as a genuine solution instead relevant tools are used.
I want to transition to devops from support engineering. What'd be relevant for me would be actually stuffs like:

bla bla. I don't know where I am heading towards and I want to genuinely ask if you guys can give me direction. I am doing a full time job 9-5 and I can't afford to lose more time in my life.
If I was not learning this, I'd be learning devops tools and technologies projects which I could put in my resume and increase my chances of getting hired.
