2024.11.28 17:33 Tornadox_7000 What's the point then?
If general anesthesia is similar to coma, does it mean it's similar to death? I've been on anesthesia and i can tell that it literally feels like you're dead (and don't ask me how i know it)...it feels like your body just disappeared, but only "you" (your mind) is kinda still with you? I'm agnostic and i can be open for both possibilities: there's something or nothing or unknown to us after death. But what's the point of the life then? If we just lose our consciousness and die...our life is shorter than a blink of the eye (compared how many years Universe exists). What if this isn't the first Big Bang that happened? What if it continues infinitely (just disappears after some time and again and again appears...). There would be totally different laws of physics then. We're not the only one who is "made" to see the Universe, aliens are maybe too far away or they're hiding from us. I believe if they're more advanced, they would live in 4th or higher dimensions so maybe that's why we can't see them. For UFO they say that they break our laws of physics, so maybe we're literally neanderthals for them (a bit of sarcasm here, but you get the point?) Higher dimensions would be smaller and more complex and we can't find them, or can we? 🤨
What if we live in the simulation? Or what if this life is just our hallucination of our brain?

2024.11.28 17:33 EmbarrassedCar33 Disabling jetways in gsx pro should reduce ctds by a great amount in msfs 2024
I kept getting crashes when trying to load in default SFO (and many other airports) in the 737 max (and other airliners) and I had jetways from gsx enabled at every airport except lga (because it is downloaded from contrail). I then ran FSDT live update, which automatically disabled all jetways from every airport. I then loaded into SFO flawlessly, and went on to do a flight to LAX with no issues. I think that it is best to disable jetways from gsx, as all airports in the sim are streamed (except airports you download outside the sim) and you should hopefully not CTD. Let me know your experience after doing this. Hope this works :)

2024.11.28 17:33 FHC08 2016.5 floor liners with a lip around the gas pedal?
I'm having a hard time finding custom fit floor liners that have at least some amount of lip near the gas pedal. Does anyone make one that doesn't just let water drain into that area?

2024.11.28 17:32 Void3tk Any of you have a video archive of your dreams in your dreams?
I’m still trying to lucid dream so I can’t practice this myself but what about having a video archive of your lucid dreams that you can watch in your dreams? Do you think it’d work independently of your conscience memory or would it just be essentially what you wrote in your journal? Same goes for revisiting dreams willingly as well.

2024.11.28 17:32 siemvela [SPAIN] December 14th, last day of operation for Talgo trains hauled on HSL.
These trains, initially known commercially as Talgo 200 and primarily operated with Talgo VI sets, have been iconic in the country as they were the first to take advantage of Spanish high-speed lines for conventional services. They used part of these lines (at a maximum speed of 200 km/h) since 1992, as Spain’s high-speed lines use a different track gauge compared to conventional ones.
The technology used in gauge-changing facilities combines the fact that the cars allow automatic gauge-changing with the need to swap locomotives (from UIC to Iberian or vice versa), causing considerable time loss compared to the current Class 120, 120.5, 121, 130, and 730. These are EMUs (except for the 730s, which are BMUs) with either concentrated or distributed traction, depending on the model, allowing them to perform gauge changes (and typically also switch electrical tensions) generally without coming to a full stop, at a speed of 10 km/h. In the case of the 730s, this also includes the ability to switch to diesel mode.
Regarding the final service they will operate, the Intercity Madrid-Algeciras on December 14 of this year, it runs on a conventional line, with the cars hauled by a Class 334 diesel locomotive until Antequera-Santa Ana (a “gare betterave” on the outskirts of Antequera). There, it transitions to the high-speed line towards Madrid, where it is hauled by Class S-252 electric locomotives.
From December 15, the rolling stock will be replaced by Talgo Class S-730 units, which will reduce travel times on the high-speed line (as they can run at a maximum of 250 km/h instead of 200 km/h) and during the gauge-changing process (for the reasons explained earlier). It is expected that the total travel time will be under six hours, though exact schedules have not yet been published. The current service designation, "Intercity," will be replaced by "Alvia."
It is worth noting that this will not signify the total retirement of Talgo VI sets, as the Madrid-Almería service on the conventional line will continue indefinitely. This service will be hauled by two Class 334 diesel locomotives, making it one of the last services (along with an Intercity Valencia-Cartagena) operated with these units. However, starting December 15, this Madrid-Almería service will be complemented by another route through the high-speed line, running from Madrid to Granada and operated with Class 730 units. This will restore pre-COVID frequencies for the Madrid-Almería corridor, albeit with one service following a different route than the traditional one.
Additionally, this change will result in the closure of Almería’s historic Moreda station, which, since COVID-19, only hosted a single train in one direction.
If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask :))
