What a great book! Naturally, I finished the book and had to stare in the middle distance as I tried to figure out what I had just finished.
It's interesting, when I finished Acceptance, I didn't think that Area X was malicious. It felt like an accident, a process that was happening without an end goal, and without all of the pieces. However, Absolution makes Area X seem much more sinister. I felt like the themes of anticolonialism were a lot more present.
The transition from Old Jim to Lowry was quite jarring, in my opinion. I didn't really like Lowry but I really liked Old Jim. I still have a thousand questions that I know will never get answered, but it was so good! So worth it! I wish I could read the whole series again without any of my memories of it.

Ne znam jel tako i u ostalim krajevima Hrvatske ali tu u središnjoj Dalmaciji rekla bi da ih ima možda kvarat od broja koliko ih je bilo prije samo 10ak godina.
Da nisam luda, pokazuju članci iz 2021. koje sam izguglala, u kojima se navodi da ih je nestalo 50% u zadnjih 40 godina. Danas je situacija sigurno još gora, ali nisam našla neke novije podatke. Niti neke konkretne uzroke.
Općenito je ptica puno manje. Ovog proljeća sam vidjela jedno jato ptica selica u formaciji i onda mi je sinulo kako je to postao rijedak prizor. Žalosno.
Zapravo cijeli post i moje razmišljanje je krenulo od toga šta smo danas vidjeli vrapce u crtiću i onda me moje dijete od 6 godina pitalo je li on ikad vidio vrapce. Vrapce! Pa bar je njih uvijek bilo na svakom koraku, a sad se ni ja ne mogu sjetiti kad sam ih uopće i vidjela zadnji put.
Šta možemo napraviti da pomognemo vrapcima? Ako se išta uopće može učiniti, ne znam.

 | Recently came to visit a relative in Florida and this is the inside frame of the main bedroom. There are other areas of the house that I can tell need some upkeep but is this termite damage? When you open/close the door chunks of wood and paint and dust fall on you. Is it fixable? I was pleased to get my new HP PC at the weekend and to try out Windows 11. So far very positive except for the over intrusive Edge.
I am, for better or worse, a Google and Chrome fan and wish to use exclusively Chrome on the new computer. If I want, for some reason, a Firefox or a Tor or even an Edge then I can start one manually for one session. But Chrome should be my default browser.
And I thought I had made it so. But when I create shortcuts with a http: or https: address, the short cut starts Edge. When I ask Word to download a language pack, it starts Edge for the download. Chrome, under its three dots invites me to set Chrome as my default browser. But in spite of repeatedly doing this, nothing changes.
HELP! As Henry II of England would have said were he still alive, Will no one rid me of this turbulent browser? Any help or suggestions would be welcome. Or should I just uninstall it from the control panel?
