Hey everyone. Been scouring the market fairly recently for a decent portable CD player, and been seeing FiiO's DM13 a little bit. Does anyone have any experience with FiiO as a company? Personally I have very little, I bought a DAP a couple years ago from them and it has served me well, but looking to get back into CDs. Want to know if their other products are as well built as I feel their DAPs are. I know they're a Chinese company and well, stuff coming from China can either be really well built, or total garbage so I wanna know where their other products land. Thanks.

2024.11.28 23:50 acrodap Worth it to pickup an LCD Steam Deck if I already own a Rog Ally X?
With the LCD 512gb on sale for $330, I’m very tempted to pick one up, but I already own an Ally X. I play a lot of multiplayer FPS like CoD and Battlefield which is why I opted for the X over the SD in the first place, but I’ve always felt a little left out because I love everything about the SD and the community seems awesome. Also been slowly building up my indie library as of late.

I had been here in the UK since 2019 on Tier 2 visa, but I was sent out of the UK for work secondment for 18 months and returned in late January this year. Due to this duration away, I could not apply for the ILR yet, and had to extend my visa for another 2 years to makeup for the duration away.
I have managed to save up enough for a deposit, and spoke to a few brokers. They were of the opinion that I should be able to apply once I have the minimum 12-month back in the country (early Feb next year)
But I have started house hunting and actually saw a few I am interested in. But I am not sure if I should put in an offer as I am not sure if the banks will consider my application anytime before the 12-month mark?
Should I start putting the offers or should I hold off until early Feb next year? Would appreciate if anyone with experience to give me more advice. Thank you!
I have about £30k saved and my salary is about £55k per year.

I’m new to this field and just getting started with editing and creating content. I recently picked up a new camera, and I’m looking for recommendations on a good lens (budget-friendly) that suits my needs.
I’ll mainly be filming indoors (talking videos) but occasionally outdoors as well. I’d love something that works well in low-light conditions and helps me achieve that “cinematic” look.
