2024.11.28 23:49 Open-Specific-2591 New to boondocking
Hi! We are about to be completely remote working and traveling in the western half of the United States. We have bought a 4x8 off-road camper (we usually tent camped for 20+ days at a time so were comfy with this). Something that is generally confusing is power. We are looking at power stations + solar panels to get. We are getting a dometic 45L electric cooler which we will need to power plus laptops and smaller appliances for short amounts of time ( toaster, air fryer ect..) My question here is, what wattage of power station would be the best here? We are looking at Jackery and Anker in the 2k wattage range. Is this too much? Or just enough? Any suggestions here would be helpful. Also drive a 2021 4 door Jeep wrangler willy's if that matters, if not, hello to fellow jeep people :) Side note, we camp on BLM land for the most part, so shore power will usually not be an option.

Okay so i (14 F) have a bf (15 m) and we have been in an on and off relationship for a while. We've been going strong for a few months but there's this girl. Me and her used to be friends and I'm the one who introduced them to eachother. Me and her had a huge falling out and it hurt me alot. I had talked about this with him and he was on ky side abt it. I just figured out they are still friends after I explained how i didn't want him around her MANY times. He still talks with his exes and it bothers me but I deal with it but she's the one girl I've told him over and over that I dont want him having a close friendship with her like they can be acquaintances but i don't want them hanging out alone or if able to not at all and I've explained this to him many times. And he's told me how he's not and he doesn't talk to her. We started the new school year and she's all I see him talk to and it pisses me off so bad and I can't even say anything during school because he dosent want anyone knowing were dating (that bothers me to byr that's a whole other story). She's always grabbing on him and talking to him like there best friends and he does it back not all the touching but still. One day I went to the store with one of my friends to get snacks for a sleepover and I see him there with her just them. And I asked him about it and he just said she asked for a ride and he gave it to her which I get but she has like 10 other people she could've asked. Ig I js don't know what to do it hurts me So much when I see him with her basically acting like a couple when he won't even talk to me in school even though we've been friends since first grade. I've made my boundaries so clear with him and I don't know where to go next. I don't want to breakup with him but idk where to go from here. My friends are split on the issue and I thought I might aswell Ask the internet.

2024.11.28 23:49 Flowergirlypop I really feel like k***ing myself. I am hopeless at the age of 29f.
I had a horrible horrible relationship with a covert narcissist that hooked me last year after I was not transferred from temp to permanent position after moving to a new city and also had surgery the month after I was basically not transferred at my job.
Fast forward this guy comes into my life, works at Apple and has a great job. Everything seems amazing till I figure out he has a massive corn 🌽 addiction and likes to buy nudes off IG and x and other places and also has hired prostitutes before.
I took him back because I needed a new car since mine broke down but he also made me feel really bad and sad for him bc he said that he was bullied as a child and is ultimately actually a really shy nerdy looking guy. I’m not. So I took him back to work things out. There were cracks in the relationship but not enough for me to say they were super severe till they got severe.
I started balding a bit, gained about 20/30 lbs, had horrible acne toward the lady part of our relationship. We even went to Mexico once and crossed the border for his bday and almost got ambushed by the cartel because he didn’t believe Americans would get kidn***d or klled since “we’re Americans.” Horrible time doing that.
There’s so many things that happened but it was the worst relationship of my life I’ve ever had. And the most confusing. I broke up with him bc I hit a breaking point and couldn’t take it anymore. I missed a trip to Cabo also on my bday bc we broke up three days before my bday. I mean i was a mess. And I made a decision that was needed to make for my health. But my health kept declining for about two months and the side effects got much worse and now I feel a bit at ease. However, financially and career wise…. It seems like I’m hopeless right now.
I feel hopeless yall. For real and anyone I talk to says it’ll get better but when does the better come? This man is probably living his best life with his high paying job while I am here having to pick up the pieces of the trauma that was left behind, the apt, the residuals of everything.
I go to therapy. I do mental health work. II’ve applied to 200+ places. I have a Bachelor’s of Science and a really good University. Great overall experience in different fields and I have NOT been able to find a good steady job. I’m hopeless yall. I knew leaving him was going to be hard but were my option truly k**ing myself being with a person like that cause of their status or being independent and actually feeling like I can’t l*e anymore and feel like I am lying to everyone when it comes to being hopeful and “seeing the light at the end of the tunnel?” Bc right now I feel like the clown from IT 🤡 lol.
Now, I am left with rent, a car payment (I want to keep the car ofc), no money for school, barely money for rent literally prob two months left to cover from savings, depressed and getting huge dips of sadness and solemnes and nostalgia and just confusion in general.
Anyone else have gone through a similar experience? Anyone else pivoted this late in life? Career, relationship wise? I could really use some help. Thank you in advance.

I’m a 27 year old man and my girlfriend is also 27. We have been dating for about 3 years.
Recently in an conversion I found out that she had no idea what stars actually were. Or that the sun is technically a star. She had no idea stars were their own solar systems with planets, and was pretty shocked to learn when I explained it to her.
Now this is something I assumed everyone learned in elementary school. My gf is not uneducated, she has a masters and works a professional job.
I tried to not make her feel bad about it or embarrass her but internally I’m very shocked. It’s made me realize that she lacks a curious mind. She does not research topics out of her own interest. She does not read books. She works hard at her job and makes good money but after work all she wants to do is look at her phone on the couch.
I consider myself a creative person. I like to seek knowledge and am generally curious about how the world works and learning about history.
The thing the shocks me is that she spent 27 years of her life looking at the sky and never once wondered what a star was. She never even considered looking it up.
Is it wrong of me to feel differently about her now? I still care for her but this one thing has led me to realize there is a disconnect in our intellects. I enjoy mental stimulation in convos and I’ve realized she doesn’t really speak or think about things deeply.

I think all TCG hobbies are under a massive speculation bubble that will eventually pop. People are buying and hoard product today anticipating the value of holding product when only in the short term the product will be worth something. This is a consumer bubble and I think is something that should be studied or viewed constructively.
I used to enjoy collecting Pokemon. In some ways I still do. However you can not simply buy product because people are turning your hobby into a money making machine. This gatekeeps competitive cards from being used in gameplay. You can not walk into a Target or a Walmart pick a product off the wall without it being gone in seconds of the display going up even if it is months old. I think part of the magic of buying cards isn't buying singles but buying a specially packaged and opening it up.
Companies like Pokemon TCG and MTG have been printing more cards to ensure their competitive scene stays healthy. Because of this they have printed more card in 2023-2024 than there have ever been printed in the life of the card gaming. This means if there is a new Charizard card running 500 USD it will have far more copies in circulation than any other before it.
Pokemon TCG if it ever experienced a bubble burst would happen? I think this is a big what if. I suspect if this bubble pops Pokemon TCG would have to hit printing breaks rather hard and quick because the speculation will be down hard and over production that doesn't move will cost them hundreds of millions of USD, maybe billions.
In my opinion the collectibles bubble may kill hobbies and businesses around the world when it bursts. At this point wonder what could be done to protect companies and consumers from an eventual collapse. If nothing is done in my opinion it will have a wide spread impact on the world possibly even larger impact than anything before it. This bubble will pop long before housing and education.

 | Rather than a continuation of either RDR1 or RDR2 (with either Jack or Sadie as the protagonist), RDR3 should be a fleshed out, reimagined version of Red Dead Revolver, with Red Harlow once again taking the mantle of protagonist. The story would take place in the Red Dead universe, unlike Revolver, and would also take place before the events of RDR2. Essentially, Revolver would act as the glorified, exaggerated fable to the true, grittier reality that is RDR3. The story would be take heavy inspiration from Revolver, taking many parts of Revolver’s story and appropriately placing them into RDR3’s narrative to create some resemblance to the legend. However, those missions would be adapted in RDR3 to create greater narrative and gameplay. Ik that due to the timelines in Revolver, it debunks the theory that Uncle is Red Harlow, but if they really wanted to, Rockstar could change the time RDR3 is set to make it so that Uncle is actually Red Harlow, and that the legends of Red Harlow told across the land had been inaccurately told until the point at which everyone believes the events of the fable (Revolver) to be true.
