2024.11.28 23:49 TheFopDoodle Cats tail got slammed in door, everywhere near me is closed for Thanksgiving.

I was feeling super sick and I haven't been able to sleep all week and on very little sleep, ontop of eating and really needing a nap I tried to lay down, my cat was with me, I FINALLY after a week of no sleep fell asleep and this lil guy suddenly wanted out... He doesn't have nails but he is a beefy 20lbs cat and sounds like God himself pounding my door in when he wants out, I was so angry I just needed sleep I'm severely sleep deprived and wasn't feeling good, when I got up to get him out I was trying to get him out quick to avoid family asking me why I was hiding away and accidentally slammed his tail in the door, he has an abnormally long tail, like is over half the size of his body and super long and I accidentally got the tip slammed. I didn't even realize it until my fiancé shouted at me, I went back to bed not thinking of it, it happens sometimes, it's not like I was purposefully trying to hurt him, he is my baby I just wanted him out so I could sleep...
Fiancé came back in and scared me saying his tail was bent and bleeding, I feel aweful I was so tired I just went back to sleep, I finally got up, still feeling like shit, he said it's not bent but bleeding and google says to take him to vet but, all vets are closed, I don't know what to do, I was initially angry and it's not like I held his tail and the door, I didn't realize it was still in the door, I feel like shit and even worse now, I really don't want judged I'm really going through emotional turmoil losing my job for medical reasons and can never sleep due to my issues and accidentally hurting my cat makes me want to vomit I really don't know what to do here

I am traveling to Brazil from the US from December 10th to January 1st but my US passport expires January 15th. I booked to have my passport expedited at one of the passport centers but I heard it takes a while to have it renewed and I don't have that time. I am also a Brazilian citizen and they don't allow people with passports with less than six months. Should I take my passport to get renewed at the center or can I travel?

Am I addicted? So I found this screenshot from june showing I only had 59k kills, and now I'm at about 195k. Would that count as an addiction? I don’t think I play that much I just play around 10 rounds then I quit because my teammates are absolute trash and make me lose. then I repeat the cycle about three times a day.

  1. I traveled a lot and met many good people who were Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, atheists, and Jews. The notion that God would condemn people for believing the wrong religion was grotesque and absurd. It would mean condemning most of the planet. I know lots of good Christians, but the Christians I know aren't any better than people of any other religion. It seems like the only people who could genuinely believe only Christians will be saved are people with a very limited scope of the world, because when you're exposed to good people outside of that religious and cultural context, the notion is absurd. It's much more believable that everybody's wrong is just living with their silly ideas about the world. That's already true for so many other things, so why not God and religion?
  2. The Christian view of God and the universe is so small and human-centric in a way I just can't believe. The universe is so huge and complex, and there's so much even on earth that has nothing to do with humans. The idea everything exists for humans or with humanity as the focus just seems absurd. We're such a tiny part of nature. It's so obvious the Christian god is described in man's image, with God caring about what human societies do and how people worship Him. We aren't that important. We're one tiny part of nature, and I can't believe that a creator would care so much about us or our civilization when we're so small in the grand scheme of things.
  3. The times I was the most faithful, praying the most, were the times things were going really bad and I really needed help. Help didn't come. Friends and family unalived themselves, my career after grad school didn't work out, etc. The times things went well were the times I was the least faithful. The variables were things like the people around me, my environment, my job, etc. Why does God do nothing for the people who need Him most? Why does He reward people who were born into privilege? Why do bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people? Why does God condemn some people to wither away in agony, and help others get rich? No moral god. Grotesque.
  4. Philosophy has been more consoling to me than Christianity ever was. It's so much more meaningful to gain a helpful perspective from the existentialists, or Epicureans, or whoever than to have blind faith.
  5. There's great meaning and value in a lot of transgressive and even blasphemous art. Black Metal is just a cathartic form of rock music. Extreme Horror is just a form of fiction. But these things tell truths about the human experience that you shouldn't turn away from, because ignoring them is to ignore parts of reality and human creativity.

You can just finish the rest of the game and then if you use Chapter Select to pick the last chapter (or I assume any of the chapters after you get all the weapons will work) it will pop the trophies for the pump shotgun (Stop Right There) and getting the full arsenal of weapons (All Accounted For) after a few seconds. I had run into the disappearing shotgun glitch on my playthrough and these were the only two trophies I needed for the platinum trophy and I was able to get them this way.

I know this may be unpopular to say and comic characters do get overhyped, but to be completely honest, lately it feels like they're living up to it. Let's go over how cracked Marvel and DC currently are: Superman survives the end of time (you know, the same thing that killed THE CONCEPT OF DEATH ITSELF), Hulk has The One Below All form, and my personal favorite: Phoenix Force, Thorforce, Hulked out Thor. So, what's the takeaway? I'm sure there's ways to argue that the heralds aren't really that strong, but to my knowledge, they just seem unbeatable at this point in time.
