I was looking at upgrading from the 14 Pro max to the 16 Pro max. I use Verizon. Buying or financing from Apple will give me $500 for trade in, 3% cash back using my Apple Card, and Apple care is $10/m. For a total of $709.
Financing from Verizon will give me $1,000 credits for trade in over 36 months, with a total of $754 financed not including Verizon’s phone insurance for $20/m
Am I dumb? What am I missing? How is $500 off ending up cheaper vs $1,000 off? 😭

Hey everyone!
I’m in the process of upgrading my setup to a dual-screen configuration, and I’d love some advice on picking the right second monitor. My budget is ~500€, but I can spend a little extra if it’s worth it.
Current setup I currently have the BENQ GW2765HT monitor (IPS/27”/1440p/60Hz), which is a good monitor from what I read. My main issue with it that when I watch movies, since I am in a dark room and I don’t like to have ambient lighting, the blacks just aren’t deep enough. Dark scenes often look washed out, and it’s hard to make out what’s happening.
What I’m looking for

Usage and options so far I primarily use my monitor for work (coding), consuming media, and gaming. I play a variety of games, mostly single-player. So far I came across the following monitors:

I get the horror games is a popular pick for people but I'm sick of the horror games. It's nice to see Jay play certain horror games that maybe hot at the moment, but I just can't bother to watch him play one almost everyday or every other day. It just feels repetitive and boring to me and it's not even just Jay, I feel like this with other gaming YouTubers as well.

I was looking for some advice on these courses to select. The main one is sem 1 where I have heard a lot of rough things about 701 but not a lot about 723. I am really struggling to decide which to do, and at this point, I just want to have the course with the 'easiest' time so I can focus more on the research/capstone project. It is basically the same for sem 2 but I don't really know much about the 2 courses. Any previous experiences or advice on any of these courses would be very appreciated. Thanks

I want to write a high school au that is set around the two main characters bonding through getting leading roles in a musical. I’m realising that in my head while I can envisage how they are acting out a big final scene, I don’t want to just start writing out lines from a script of course.
Do you have any tips for how to set the scene when writing a musical scene?
For context, I’m using Spies Are Forever and I’ve wanted to use One Step Ahead and that scene (no spoilers!) as a catalyst to some events that have led to their chemistry building offstage.
