2024.11.29 01:32 lyddydaddy Quick: The Frame 2024 as computer monitor or not?
What I like about the frame is essentially the matte QLED display, hopefully deep blacks, as I typically work in dark mode, and I work at least 8 hrs/day 5 days/wk. Whatever I get I'll mount it on the wall or equivalent.
Or should I focus on something that's made as a computer monitor, Samsung also offers M70D, Asus offers PG42UQ, LG offers 48-inch "ultragear" and there's always Dell, a safe choice for work.
I don't think I'd be using the art mode. And I feel it's a bit odd to buy The Frame in the smallest size available? Maybe a little worried about what folks write about fiddling with the controls to have it set up right as a computer monitor, and just not necessarily getting the best bang for the buck (60Hz, dangle needed for usb-c laptops, etc.; and The Frame is overpriced in my country, $1k3 instead of $797 on newegg)
P.S. There was a post from someone who had The Frame mounted on the wall right above their desk, sadly that reddit account is deleted and I cannot ask them my question.
P.P.S. I'm currently using LG 32UN880-B, that's matte, 31.5-inch, 4K, usb type-c (thunderbolt) with power delivery, a fancy swivel leg/stand that I don't use much. I'm generally happy with that. What I would improve are the size (100cm width would be the sweet spot, allowing my tired eyes more distance between eyeballs and the monitor), brightness (a little hard to use on a sunny day), and my posture (I'd hang the monitor on the wall or custom mount, rather than have it stand on the desk).

Hiii all! First time posting so forgive me if this is a dumb question but as long as I can remember when I start getting into my run, I get a sharp pain in my collarbone area. It feels like I need to stretch it out but nothing ever seems to help. I end up rolling my arms like a windmill and have had neighbors comment on it looking nuts lol. Any tips on how to avoid/combat this?

Looking for help
My fiance and I are adopting her brother. I already have a son from my first marriage. We were told it would be a few months before the process would start because of background checks and such. 2 weeks after starting the process we were told things were going to accelerate quickly because we both work for the school system and our background checks were very quickly processed. He is 12 and much taller then your average. He is 5'6" and 160lbs. We are excited how quickly it is happening however we have an issue. He is coming to us with almost NOTHING. His foster family has not provided him with anything new in the year he has been there. The clothes he had he has grown out of.
Having just moved to have an additional room, another child, his lack of basic needs and not Christmas we are in a financial bind. Trying to provide everything and a good Christmas is our goal but it's becoming harder to get through this.
Where can we find help??
We do have a gofund for him. Where do I start? All we want is to provide stability for him and Christmas for them both.

I would describe myself as an ambivert. So, I am introvert at the start and become extrovert over time. With some people it takes longer to get to that stage and with some people it is pretty fast. I think I am very open minded person. I love to chat about anything. Love to see things in positive way even if things are not going in my favor.
Outside of that, I enjoy watching tv shows, movies, and documentaries. Usually watch action or thrillers but open to any genre. I watch formula 1 racing and soccer. I used to play soccer but not professionally. It was more of a casual thing. I love to go on drives and listen to music. It is super relaxing. I enjoy pretty much all the genre of music. However, I listen to some genres more than the others.
I would love to travel now that I have free time. I think it would be very cool to experience new culture and food. Always intriguing to me how there are so many different cultures and how different they are.
Tried to keep the introduction short. I am happy to chat a lot more and expand on these. Would love to learn more about you.

Personally, from past experience I managed to reach max level and complete everything (Literally everything except for 3-5 of those deeper dungeons) I could come across in the base game. Wish i could be clearer in the amount of hours that were lost. Then one day I crashed my flying regalia and lost my save. Had to downgrade to a lesser save file that I luckily had at the time. Now that both are lost to hardware issues, I've started the game again and now am managing 3 different save upto date save files. Out of curiosity, I wanted to share my experience and would like to hear how you guys overcame this unique problem
I would also like to add that the event of the losses happened a very long time ago
