2024.11.29 01:49 ExtraordinaryPen- [s2 spoilers] I honestly don't think Caitlyn and Vi had any chemistry.
Watching season 1 and season 2 and seeing the relationship between Caitlyn and Vi develop I'm honestly puzzled with how they go to together in the end.
In the context of the first season we saw a slow build between these two women at odds from radically different social classes working together. They have the obvious splinters of methodology and differing life experience's which leads them to butt heads on occasion but they find some form of common ground, growing closer to one another. They're hands linger on each others, they stare into each others eyes which is pretty standard romantic build up. However as their plot carriers into season 2 I'm left wondering if they like one another.
To elaborate they spend the majority of the second season at odds with one another not in the playful of the first season but with a more serious difference in beliefs and ideology. And this is where their relationship because to lose its plausibility to me. Because I'm realizing what they had in season 1 leading into season 2 is a relationship of proximity, they spent alot of time together alone in one anothers company however that's where the realism of their relationship ends.
In the beginning they're almost constantly arguing with one another as Vi comprises herself in the purist of the greater good because she feels of the loss of Caitlyn's mother and understand the threats that exist to people of Zaun and Piltover. But to me this registers as basic empathy as opposed to love.
Then when Vi does it (Becomes and Enforcer to help hunt down jinx) but breaks at the last moment Caitlyn snaps at her and leaves her. This is where the relationship of proximity would normally just end especially considering how Caitlyn hits her with butt of her rifle as Vi is crying. They haven't gone through anything that would make their bond strong enough to have their relationship survive this breaking point.
After that Caitlyn finds someone else to be with, which doesn't show the strength of their bond but how instead it was rather meaningless, as Vi could be and was replaced. I understand the desire for warmth in a sense but its not like the show indicted they where on a break. Caitlyn hit Vi and left her crying that's a full breakup to me.
In the next mini arc when Caitlyn realizes the error of her ways and helps Vi again they bicker and figure out a plan. This plan of course had contingency's because Vi does not trust Caitlyn, which is fair however it adds onto my disbelief that these people like one another.
Ending at the last mini arc we see them back together, arguing once again on how to deal with the now captured Jinx. Vi goes down to visit and talk it doesn't work out and then something baffling happens. The explicit scene between them has 0 build up and just occurs in a jail cell seemly because someone wanted to include one. Caitlyn talks about how she's sad about her sister and then and they hookup. I was really surprised when I found out that's how it happened because Caitlyn doesn't even acknowledge what Vi says and just says "We're alone right now"
And to add salt to it, Caitlyn then says she hooked up with someone else as they're about too. Which is just an insane thing to say to anyone and I'd be hard pressed to find the person who's still able to be into their partner after thats said.
I feel like the animators did alot of the heavy lifting with their kiss and explicit scene because while I could believe they interested in one another in a pure non romantic sense they have not earned any of the feelings these scenes try and project. They would genuinely be better as colleagues because I couldn't even see them being friends considering how much they argue and how much stress is on their relationship.

Hello!
I have a few pairs of headphones already. -philips shp9500 (open back cans) -moondrop chu 2 (IEMS) -jabra elite 4 (Bluetooth buds)
I like all of these quite a bit. Really happy with the Philips, though often find myself wishing they had more "punchy" bass, both for music and gaming. But they've been great for producing/mixing/ listening to music. And pretty good with directional sound in games!
I love bass, but also do not like muddiness. l'd like to retain bass without being muddy.
I was about to pull the trigger on some HD600's, they've been on my list for years now. But lve heard they are not great for gaming. (And also don't have that much bass presence). I might scoop em up anyways because they're on sale rn.
Any suggestions are welcome:) I'd ideally like to spend $400 or less. I have a slight preference towards open back, but I'm not totally opposed to closed back!
