I don't really know how to type this, but l've seen a lot of opinions on this book.
For context l'm 13 and orthodox Christian and I wanted to know if this book was particularly demonic or wrong to have. I got this book a few years back because I heard he was really good and since I was really into books and philosophy stuff (I still vary much am :}) the book is actually really good and l've heard people say it's really manipulative or toxic, but I feel as though the book isn't meant to be taken super literally, and I feel that people are kind of shocked when I say I have the book. I've read it so many times it's torn up and there's notes in there from old friends reading it and highlighting stuff. I think it's more of a nostalgia book now because I don't read it as much. as I type this in bed, It's right next to me. I was planning to reread it, but I just wanted to know peoples opinion about it and how they feel about me being so young with this book and if it's ok to have as a believer in Christ

Recurring 2024 Nights of Lights Shuttle Days of Operation: Shuttle Times: Parking and Pick-up Locations: Colonial Quarter Holiday Market Nights of Pints 2024 Nights of Pints, a brew-pub-hopping special offered by three local St. Augustine breweries during each Nights of Lights season, kicks off on Friday, November 22, and will continue through December 31, 2024. Any visitor or local (of legal age) who purchases one 2024 Nights of Lights t-shirt will also receive a punch card that enables them to enjoy one free seasonal pint from each of three local brew pubs:
The cost for 2024 is $35.00. Each participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a punch card that entitles them to a free pint at the three participating breweries mentioned above at any time during the Nights of Lights event through December 31, 2024. T-shirts and punch cards can be purchased at the participating breweries beginning November 22, 2024.
Each year the Nights of Pints benefits local non-profit agencies. In 2024, those agencies are THE PLAYERS Championship Boys & Girls Club, Best Buddies, and Community Hospice & Palliative Care.
Admission: $35.00 — entitles each adult participant 21 and older to purchase a t-shirt and a punch card. The same thing is happening to me, I have a lump on the radial bone, they are still doing tests on me, the lump is very hard like bone and the doctor wants to know if it is a bone tumor. I have had it for 7 months now and it has been swelling over time due to constantly carrying my baby. According to what I investigated, bone forms on the styloid of the radius over time. The pain is so much that it invades my joints and part of my arm.

Ok supervisors and hr, how long does it take for promotions to get processed?
I'm starting to feel like I'm getting the run around. I was told I'd be put up for promotion at a specific time, but then my sup put it in weeks later. Since then crickets. I reached out to HR and got crickets. My sup said they'd look into it but never got back to me. So what's a reasonable amount of time it takes for a promotion to get processed after the paperwork has been submitted?
Prior promotions never took this long but maybe they take longer for full performance level? Maybe extra approvals needed?

2024.11.29 02:40 SupaKoopa714 I keep getting comppetely destroyed super early in my campaigns, what am I doing wrong?

I'm totally new to Civ and I enjoyed my time with the tutorial, but I'm finding actually playing the game on my own to be a completely different beast. I've started three different campaigns and each time I've gotten totally flattened by the enemy before I can even get started, like it takes my city so many turns to build a unit that by the time they pop out, I'll have 5 or 6 enemy units surrounding me, and next thing I know all of my units are wiped out and my city's getting directly attacked. It's getting really frustrating and discouraging, I have zero clue how I'm supposed to have a fighting chance when I start the game already at a massive disadvantage. I can't figure out for the life of me what I'm doing wrong. P

2024.11.29 02:40 jpaxm Unpopular opinion -I don't think NewJeans are screwed

All publicity is good publicity, and I think all of South Korea, or at least its Kpop scene, will keep their eyes on each NewJeans member for a very, very long time. Enough time that by the time this legal mess is over and NewJeans is likely able to walk away with little damage and they won't have much trouble rebranding themselves and getting back into the industry.
Whether they're doing these "stunts" (basically all of the things that they have been criticized for up until now) on purpose or not, it is giving them the kind of publicity they need to survive as idols (or perhaps in other roles in the entertainment industry) after terminating their contract with Hybe. After all, they did something pretty unheard of in Kpop.
So, that's to say that I don't really "pity" NewJeans, as that seems to be a common sentiment here. They will (probably) be fine. They (probably) have MHJ's backing.
