Hello. I am 34 and live alone in a van. I have been doing so for at-least 2 years now. In this time, I have lived in various places around the UK, 99% of the time I park up in remote, natural locations away from beaten paths.
I have been met with a phenomena which for a lack of better word I call “Phantom knocking” First off, can I ask that you find a wooden door or window and knock your knuckles on it three or four times. Take note of the sound you hear.
This is the exact sound I have been hearing, never more than once in any given location during to the frequency in which I move along. However I have been known to sit in some of these locations for anywhere between a couple of days to a week before moving on.
Every now and then I will hear the sound of knocking like I had you reproduce above. On the side of my metal and glass van. I know when you get a knock, you answer as it could be police or a land owner, my bed/sofa is right next to a door, so It takes me no time to answer.
Sometimes I would hear it in a forest, and I assumed it to be a dog owner or prankster passing me by. Id answer the knock, stick my head out, scan the area and find nothing.
Other times and more concerningly… I would hear that familiar knock, answer it and again find no-one. These times, I’m positioned on the side of a off road, no traffic except farmers. The roads are often way off the public areas in the middle of nowhere and away from dog walking routes. I can look for a mile in any given direction and see nothing, be it dog walker, person, animal or car, I hear no engines. Yet I hear a very familiar knock next to my head, clear as day, attention grabbing, uncanny sounding.
Has anyone experienced stuff like this? I cant explain it away with the usual… so im honestly exploring alternatives that may give me peace as to what this is.

2024.11.29 03:32 itsdayvid Issue with 12v...I think?
In the US, 2021 Audi E-tron Quattro 55
Backstory, car had been left on the wall charger for a couple of days (bad I know.) The car alarm randomly goes off briefly, I go out to check on it and hit the power button, car starts it's boot-up, shows parking break error and shuts down. After that nothing works, it's like the car isn't getting any power, but the main battery was at 80%.
After researching it seems it not uncommon to see these symptoms of the 12v battery is drained. I picked up the Noco Genius 10, and tried charging the 12v but it doesn't appear to be helping, as the charge bar isn't progressing beyond the first mark on the unit.
Should I try the force mode feature on the Noco? Am I potentially doing something wrong? Should I try jumping it? I'd love to not have to pay for a flatbed tow all the way to the dealer.
