He cultivated this image with precision, speaking in hushed tones, as if he possessed some kind of secrets that the rest of the world was desperate to uncover. But when he finally joined this public platform, the veil was lifted, and the audience discovered that beneath the mysterious facade laid a shallow and unremarkable personality. His thoughts were mundane and shallow.his The more he shared, the more his mystique crumbled, revealing a person who was not enigmatic, but simply lacking in substance. He had always been jealous of KVs quick wit and sharp tongue. Kvs ability to think on his feet and come up with clever comebacks always made him feel inadequate which would lead to him resort to make fun of KV by siding with the one's who are against KV and mock his intelligence.

Let's name this person L. He dmed me on insta and wanted to go on a date with me. I'm considered as mid to above average in terms of looks. I have had a lot of guys confessing to me, oddly none of them progressed any further. But L seemed persistent in seeing me and committed to the meet-up. I only saw 2 pictures of his face, he looked ordinary. He was really funny too so I liked him. He understood me really well and we were pretty similar. This happened on Tuesday evening, he travelled an hour to see me through the rain haha. Tbh i didnt trust that i would see him bc it never happened to me before and i was like whats the probability that it would happen now.
The moment I saw him, my brain was SCREAMINGINGNG out of excitement. HE LOOKED SO MAJESTIC LIKE ROYALTY MAJESTIC HAHA. But my friends said hes mid. I thought he was 5'8 but he was 6ft AND I'M 5'3 SO THE HEIGHT DIFFEREnce WaS DIFFERENCING AHHHHHH🤭🤭🤭 Idrc about looks and I didn't expect him to look that great so I was really shocked. On the other hand, I was in an oversized tee+floppy sweatpants+ no makeup+ oily skin+ hair up in a bun. I looked like an absolute rat with no makeup+bad sleep. I didn't put in much effort into my fit too cos we were just visiting a garden near my place. We were talking and laughing. I asked him to show me his hand, when he did, I gently held it. He smiled and interlocked his fingers with mine 🤭🤭🤭🤭 Later I let him put his arm around my shoulder, he was smiling like crazy. Anyways, we were talking and having a good time. Then. we hugged🤭🤭 He tried to kiss me like 3 times and I didn't understand what he was trying to do and swerved. But I understood the third time and kissed his neck cos that was the only thing that was within my reach. He finally bent down and I kissed his cheeks and nose.
After that, he pointed to something in the distance. I turned my head to look, and before I knew it, he gave me a quick peck on my lips. It was so brief yet so electrifying. My first kiss. Although I wanted to save it up, in the moment it felt like the right thing to do. It was so magical.
As the date came to an end, I expected us to part with smiles and the promise of another meeting. But instead, his words landed like a blow. “You’re pretty,” he said, “but I’m just not attracted to you.” He tried to reject me kindly but I understood what his actual reason was, I simply don't look like his type. My heart sank, confusion and hurt welling up in my chest. I kept a straight face and reprimanded him, he knew how much saving up my first kiss meant to me. Well it was my fault for trusting a man's empty promises. I'm too innocent.
He dropped me off at my house before he left he said, "You're the most stable person I have ever seen". Only I know how close I was to breaking down. I couldn't sleep that night and my heart was beating so fast from what had happened. Now I accepted what happened. I guess I should have seen it coming, cos he is athletic and obviously he would want a hot gf in his league.
As much as I regretted wasting my first kiss, I'm grateful that the universe taught me this lesson. There was something so soft about his eyes, its an ineffable feeling.
L, if ur reading this, I love you. I just didn't wanna say it to you.

My son has asked "Santa" for a curved monitor to pair with his gaming PC he got over the summer. I would prefer him to stick with a standard monitor since I'm not sold on curved monitors, but it's the one big thing he has asked for this year. I figure he's young and has plenty of time in his life to get a better monitor when he gets older, so why not just please him for Christmas, especially since this will likely be his last year believing in Santa (he night not already, but we're not 100% sure).
I'm not looking to spend $800 on a monitor. I don't know what my budget is honestly. I don't want to spend a lot, but know that if I don't, I'm gonna get crap that's not even worth it and will probably leave him extremely unhappy when it comes to the performance with his games. Lets say $300 after any current sales? Does that sound reasonable?
He is currently using a "LG - UltraGear 27” Nano IPS QHD 1-ms G-SYNC Compatible Monitor with HDR" which I think looks fantastic, but again, he's really shooting for a curved monitor. We'll keep the LG, so if he comes to find out that curved isn't all its cracked up to be, he can switch back.
Whether or not it needs to be 2K, I don't know. Like I said, he's a gamer, but he's 11. He doesn't have much experience with things yet to base opinions on. Would it be noticeable being 1080p vs 2K? Looking at the specs of the monitor he's using now, it says it's 2560 x 1440. And for further comparison, the TV in his room is a Hisense - 40" Class A4 Series LED Full HD 1080P, which he plays PS5 on. Those are really the only units he has to base opinions/comparisons on.
All this is way out of my league. I'm not a gamer, so the specs needed for that are beyond me. I'm a graphic designer with much different needs. I can do what I do on a Sony Trinitron.
Any suggestions to help this father with what will probably be the biggest gift of the year?

I know this sounds absolutely mental but I love noodle broth but I hate the little jelly pieces. So basically I only eat the broth.
The packages are notoriously confusing for calories and it says 60 calories for 1 cup prepared.
Does anyone know how I would be able to find out the calories if I only drank the liquid? It’s hard to track it when I feel like I am putting more calories than I actually am eating. Thanks!
