Hi Everyone, so a bit about me.
I am 5"11", well educated, muscular. I like strength training and ive been getting into hiking more and just exploring the outdoors.
I have done pretty well in life, worked pretty hard to get where I am now and would love to meet someone who appreciates ambition and is an ambitious person.
I moved to Calgary from the UK back in June 2022, I work as a DevOps Engineer and i have been working from home for the past 5 years. Also travel to Dallas a lot for work so I am not tied down for my job, I can easily visit you.
I have been doing alot of traveling recently, I recently did a trip around Iceland, went to Hungary and visited alot of different states last year.
Looking for someone to share experiences with and just enjoy life, feel like I have reached where I need to be in life and I am ready to share that with someone. I am a homebody, I do enjoy staying at home, especially during the winters here, living alone is not fun. I also cook pretty well too.
I am the kind of person that prefers a small group of friends but they are also the ones you can trust and talk too about anything.
I enjoy social settings in small doses, I go through phases where I can be around groups of people now and again but other times I can stay at home for days on end and I would just talk to my cat instead if I had one.
I have also been looking into the vanlife stuff and I want to potentially build my own campervan and drive around the rockies and Montana and just live in the mountains for a few days and play video games in the forest next to the river.
I do have a nerdy side, I like spending time on my PC, I love board games and I am an introvert at heart but I have no issues talking to people at the same time. I also love cats, I volunteer in my spare time looking after cats before they get adopted. I will also pet any cat I see on the street.

I've realized lately I actually enjoy horror movies and since I play video games thought I'd give some horror games a try to, but don't know what's good or would fit what I'm looking for...
- My biggest dealbreaker in for any game: A relatively blank slate protagonist. I just can't get into games where it feels like I'm jumping into the head of a fully-fleshed out character where I'm just playing their story instead of watching it. This is why I want to enjoy games like GTA or RDR but I just can't because the player character doesn't feel like mine.
- Great replayability, I only buy games I can put hundreds of hours into and wiill want to pick it up in a couple months and/or years to play again.
- The horror doesn't come from jump scares, but the atmosphere, story, vibes, etc. I'm okay with jump scares and they can serve a purpose but shouldn't be what makes it scary.

 | Yes, it's a clickbait title. The endgame state is bad. The gradual trend of HP inflation is atrocious. But hear me out. Prydwen data just came out, and looking at the stats; I actually think the current endgame difficulty for endgame is at its most optimal state. Why? Because it's difficult but clearable. Now, you might have seen the HP inflation graph and starts to worry about the state of the endgame right now --me too, I worry as well. But think about it; admittedly, the current endgame difficulty isn't that big of a problem. It's even enjoyable to clear actually. I admit that the buffs do shill some archetypes more so than the others, even so you're not punished for playing what you want; except for some (looking at you DoT PF and Apoc Shadow). Hey, one bad apple may spoil the whole barrel; luckily for us, the endgame modes aren't apples. Although it's getting harder to clear with 1.x DPSes, we do have the benefit of doubt that none of them actually have a dedicated support. Unlike Break and FuA, the comps for 1.x DPSes aren't as established. What if supports that fit their niche comes out? It's likely that they'll be able to catch up to the current top two teams. At the very least, be able stand a step or two behind them, not like the current meta --a few thousand bananas wide. (We don't count Sparkle for Daniel, her kit doesn't just live up against current supports) Hopefully with the release of Sunday, that's the AA support slot filled up for Hypercarries. Now, they just have to release a broken HP manipulation support for Blade and Jingliu, DoT support for KafSwan, Skill point/Basic attack support for Daniel, dedicated support for Erudition hypercarries and we're good to go. Although it's inevitable that they will be powercrept by newer characters in their niche if the other comps want to catch up to FuA and Break. Hopefully, newer DPSes with better multipliers --not greater than the likes of the top two but still substantially better than the older ones; stabilizing the DPS check, plus this will likely make the endgame a healthier environment. Quite surprising news I heard; current MoC was nerfed before going live. Maybe --just maybe the devs are starting to realize the powercreep is at its tipping point and trying to stabilize. I swear I'm not high on copium. Tl;Dr: Inflation is bad, difficulty good. If they don't continue the trend, we're good. Because with more modern games like Resident Evil 4 remake it doesn't happen to me and the game works well with medium graphics. Last week I went to an estate sale that was advertised with the wrong date/time. Drove clear across the city and no one was there. They redid the ad with correct time and date so I went there today. Made that long drive with the intention of buying some Uglass they had shown in the pre sale ad. When I got there I couldnt find the glass and figured I got there too late. In the last cabinet I looked in I found the glass. There were some extra pieces that they didnt have in the pre sale pics. In particular there was a stack of six decorative small bowls with no price. They had four glasses of stemware that had one price tag between four pieces. I asked the lady about the little bowls and she came over and said 'six bucks'. I asked if that was for each piece and she said for the stack, so they were a dollar each. I then asked about the glasses and hit them with my light and asked if they were 8 dollars for all four or 8 each piece. She saw the glow from my light and said the glasses were 8 each, then she saw the light reflecting on the bowls and she said she needed ten each now that I outed myself, I thought no lady, you outed yourself. Nice. A thousand percent increase, nothing like a little bait and switch. I wound up leaving with nothing, I would have gladly paid 8 dollars for a couple of those glasses and 6 bucks for the little bowls, but I aint no sucker. As I walked out the door, the seller said I should come back sunday when everything is half price. Hold yer breath lady. Rant over.

I just picked up a Cyborg 14 A13VF for an Xmas gift for my niece. My job is to get it running smoothly then give it over to my sister. My nephew is also getting a desktop PC, same deal. I got the desktop running great and I mostly have the laptop running well, but using UserBenchmark, I am finding that the GPU is under performing with only a 15th percentile result. Meanwhile I have the CPU at 98th percentile.
Things I have done;
- updated video card drivers
- updated bios
- updated chipset and other intel drivers
- uninstalled some of the bloatware
- enabled the performance user profile in the MSI app, Nvidia App, and in the BIOS
- the laptop is plugged in and fully charged
- ensured that the nvidia 4060 is running over the integrated graphics
Is there something I am missing?
