2024.11.30 02:37 CanesFanInTN Was at the grocery store the night before Thanksgiving...
I had been there 7 hours earlier to get apple cider for work to a complete madhouse. People everywhere, no where to move, had to settle for apple juice. It is what it is for the day it was.
Got home from after another too long of a day and realized that I was missing some important things for the Thanksgiving dinner.
I was dreading going back, but didn’t have time the next morning. When I pulled in the parking lot was half as full, so I was thankful that maybe it wouldn't be as crazy.
Not sure if other grocery stores in this chain have the same music selection, but usually later in the evening, they have some good tracks. A couple of weeks ago the Fugees' Ready or Not was bumping and tonight it was No Rain by Blind Melon. While not my favorite song by them, they are one of my favorite bands, so I was pumped!
As I made it over to the Produce section, I see a kid, about 8-10, wearing a Buc-ee Beaver costume just dancing around as his mom shops. It was so awesome and loved every moment.
He wasn't necessarily dancing to the music, but neither was to girl in the bee costume. It felt like I was in the music video, in real time. It was so awesome and made me so happy.
Don't know why I'm sharing this, but I felt like I needed to. That hopefully it would brighten someone else's day, as it did mine. Take care of yourselves and try and find those bright moments! Maybe these kids will be alright.

I've been really struggling with mirrors lately. As you all know dysphoria comes and goes, and I suppose these days it's been coming more than going for me. At the moment, I'm feeling like my face is just as masculine as it's always been, and I find it hard to see how it's going to look feminine without a metric f*cktonne of surgery (which I don't want to do, nor can afford). I've been doing laser on my face (and everywhere else) and my beard is slowly fading away, which I'm happy about.
I'm curious. What do you folks see when you look at me? How can I appear more feminine, given that I'm not really into makeup? I feel like I'm plateauing and don't know how to process from here... 😞

Hello! I recently got 4 TAD screws installed on my upper jaw (maxilla), my ortho suggested to have it as i have gummy smile and weak chin. She explained that lifting the upper teeth to the maxilla can help my gummy smile and my lower jaw (mandible) will follow the alignment of the upper jaw/teeth once it gets lifted by the TAD screws, thus making the position of my lower mandible positioned a bit outward and improve my weak chin a little bit.
Does anyone with TAD screws have any experience on the shifting of their lower jaw position? Did you notice any changes on your jawline?
I'm afraid that lifting the upper jaw (maxilla) will shorten my face and make it rounder than it already is, as i also have a weak chin 😅

So i am here in Australia. I had this new girl joining our workplace. It is a large venue so, i had to be with her for 8 hours straight. After couple of hour spending time training we had chat about hometown and i said " mero ghar chai pokhara ho." Her spontaneous reply was " kasto ramro xare hai teo gau ta. " I reacted normally and asked her if she has ever been to Pokhara She said she has never been to any other place besides Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur

I don’t understand why people name their child something with the intention of calling them something else.
Named daughter “Amelia” with the intention to called her “Amy”.
Named son “William” so you could call him “Bill”
Why not just name them the name you want to call them? I truly don’t understand.
I do understand a nickname coming along the way, throughout childhood or what have you. I just don’t get why before the baby is born, do you name them “ “James” so I can call him “Jim” “?
