Hey all, S@K associate here. Tonight I observed a group of teen/preteen girls walk by Sol de Janiero and swipe one of the body sprays and shove it up her sleeve. I then, loudly, asked for security over to the corner mostly to scare them.
They circled back, walked by me, flipped me off, and left.
One of them came back in 5 minutes later, dove into the department next to the doors and then came back to Sephora and accused me of racially profiling them. I told them I observed one of them shoving an item from Sol de Janiero into her sleeve to which she said I was "changing my story" and made her sister feel bad, also she said her sister was wearing a skin tight shirt (I have no idea who her sister was)
I called the LOD over who calmed her down, LOD also mentioned the ROC camera footage which shut her up real fast.
After 8 years here this is only the second time a customer has made me cry. Was I in the wrong? I probably shouldn't have said a word and just let them steal.

Hello all, before I had my scoliosis surgery in June of 2021 I found this community and it helped me feel less scared and anxious about having the surgery. I had found out I had scoliosis when I was 16 and already had a 46 degree curve. It eventually progressed to 52 degrees and I was told I would need surgery when I was 18 years old. My spine was fused down to my L3 vertebrae so I have a pretty good range of movement. I am here to answer any questions some of you may have, and to ask a few of my own to anyone out there who also has had the surgery.
Since my surgery the recovery was not terrible, the first month or so my spine felt as though you can feel each individual vertebrae moving, which is an awful way to describe it because generally your “back hurts” but you’re never ultra aware of how your spine feels at any given moment. Even now as I type this, there’s always that feeling. Like I can feel my spine. For the past 3 or so years now I have lived a generally sedentary lifestyle, I love playing video games, and watching movies (some of my passions). However, I am fully able to participate in sports and walks and really anything I wish to do. I’ve played in rec basketball leagues, go to the park to play ball, essentially any out door sport you can think of. I’ve recently tried to walk more outside, and a question I have for the people who have gotten the surgery as I have is when you are running how do you get your spine to stop feeling so shaken? I’m running, and I’m able to do it to a really pre surgery degree. My only issue is when I get to a certain point it feels as though my spine is being compressed more, or as if it’s moving. I know of course that it isn’t, and that it has completely fused but if anyone has found a way to strengthen the muscles surrounding the spine to negate some of those feelings please reach out I would greatly appreciate it. Another question I have for others who have had the surgery is, how do you negate shoulder blade pain? When I wake up in the mornings or lay in a certain position for a period of time my shoulder blade just feels like I did a whole workout on it (very stiff and takes time to adjust, almost feels like nerves being pinched). After some activities I’ll have this shoulder blade pain that I can’t seem to prevent. If anyone has any advice I would also be very appreciative.
Finally, I would like to say that overall the experience has been a blessing and a curse. There are negatives that come with it and of course positives. I can say that I am back to my pre surgery routines and am able to confidently do anything I really need to even with my spine fused down to my L3 vertebrae. It takes some REAL getting used to, and an adjustment period but just try your best and you’ll get to where you want to be eventually.

Hi all,
This is probably a stupid question with an obvious answer. However, I'm looking to purchase a property, and I have short-listed several that are potentially suitable. However, taking a look at the property profiles on the Property Value website, a couple of them have the following message next to the most recent sale information:
"Recent Advice - Pending Settlement Advice. This property has a sale provided that has yet to be verified as settled by a government authority."
Is this an indicator that the property has already been sold? Whilst the listings on the Domain and Real Estate websites haven't been updated to reflect this, the lack of response from the agents combined with the above leads me to believe this is the case.
Any insight will be greatly appreciated so that I can focus my efforts on the properties that are still available. Thanks!

I’m purchasing my first car in Malaysia (new Honda CR-V E trim) and would appreciate some advice. Since I’m a foreigner and my visa type doesn’t allow me to secure a loan, I’ll be paying cash. I assumed paying cash would give me leverage for a discount, but the dealer didn’t seem interested. They are offering their regular promotion of RM 6,000 + 5 years free labor which seems standard.
Also, in the US where I'm from, it’s common for new cars to come with a few warranties - usually 3 years comprehensive (aka bumper-to-bumper), 5 years for the powertrain, and 3 years for accessories/electronics. At the Honda dealership I visited today, the lady said their 5-year warranty covers only the engine and transmission, no other components or parts.
My questions:

Is paying cash really not an advantage here? I was thinking of visiting a few Honda dealers, but if this is this the standard approach in Malaysia, I will save my energy.
Is it normal for the 5-year warranty to be limited to just the engine and transmission?
Any general advice for a first-time buyer in Malaysia? Things I should look out for, negotiate, or gotchas to be aware of?
Finally, I'd appreciate any thoughts on whether the discount being offered is enough to offset the quicker depreciation of an almost 1 year old car. Should I just wait for the 2025 model to come out?
