I’m new, but I wanted to ask since she is so young and I have no idea if she is still just learning how to cope with big emotions or if I need to get her professional help.
Basically, this has happened about 3-4 times where something slightly bad happens, my daughter FREAKS out and will scream “I just want to die”. 5 minutes later, after I talk to her she is fine and says she doesn’t mean it?!
A few weeks ago my husband dropped my favourite casserole dish, I was obviously upset and said “oh for goodness sake that was my favourite dish”. My daughter who was on the other side of the room was sobbing in tears. Saying oh no that’s mums favourite, and again repeated “I just want to…” I asked her calmly afterwards if that she means tomorrow she doesn’t want to wake up and be here and she got even more upset saying no that’s not what she meant. She’s only 7. We have never spoken like this in our family, I don’t understand where she even got this from.
She’s a very anxious person anyway. An introvert, she is quite shy and nervous around new people and situations. When she feels safe she is a hoot and so chatty, very confident.
She has only said the “I want to…” maybe 3-4 times in the past few months. Never before, but has always been a very vocal person on her emotions. Cries a lot, needs calming down a lot - she’s very sensitive. Tantrums, screaming at us all.. but 10 minutes later she’s fine. She’s only little so I get the screaming fits, and she’s a really lovely little girl otherwise. Everyone who knows her will comment on her impeccable behaviour, so it’s a shock when they see her freaking out, it’s like a different child.

So, my last night in Makkah was the most beautiful thing that I've experienced in my life. I dont think I will ever be able to forget about it. After Isha jamat prayer. I was standing beside the zam zam coolers and looking at Khana-e-Kaba from a distance. It hit me in the moment that I'm going to leave this place the next day and started crying hysterically. I kept crying because what I experienced in Makkah was something that I've never felt before. I'm a very sinful person. I do try to maintain my 5 daily prayers and read some Quran , avoid music. I slack off very often. There were times when I held to my hijab very strongly , was very invested in Halal Vs Haram debate and studied tafseetranslation and even taught it to others. But none of it fixed my actual craving of Loving Allah. I have always craved the feeling of His presence and His trust inside my heart but never got to experience it. I used to be doubtful even after making Duas to Him. So makkah felt like I am visiting my best friend. I felt his presence after so long. I was so afraid to lose this feeling that I started crying. I told Him while crying , "Leaving Maklah feels like I'm leaving you here. I dont ever want to leave you". In that moment , for just a second I thought of drinking zam zam. But that thought vanished from my mind instantly because i was busy crying. A minute later , a man comes to me and hands me a cup of zam zam. I drink it and it feels like something cooled down my heart. I stop crying and go back to my hotel. I anticipated that i would be more sad the next day. But when i visted the haram , i was happy. I looked at Kabah and i couldn't stop smiling. It felt like Allah put immense amount of peace inside my heart and deep down I was sure this is not the last time I'm seeing Khana-e-Kaba and he will surely invite me again soon. I had no duas left to ask so I kept thanking Him and I was very happy. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced. I'll never be able to forget it.
( Note ; while leaving haram and seeing khana kaba for the last time , i cried again and kept crying until i drank zam zam again and miraculously , it did calm me down.)

Goedemorgen,
Wij (30M, 28F) willen graag verhuizen naar een andere woning. We bezitten nu een oud huis van 100 jaar oud waar de keuken en badkamer aan vervanging toe zijn. De woning is wel goed door ons na-geïsoleerd, maar we willen naar een nieuwere, onderhoudsvriendelijke en iets grotere woning.
Wij hebben nu een kleine annuïtaire hypotheek. We zitten qua inkomen op twee keer modaal (docenten op een middelbare school) en kunnen ondanks het bescheiden salaris best goed sparen. Alsnog kunnen we véél minder sparen dan dat de huizenprijzen zijn gestegen en daarnaast zijn de de huizenprijzen die wij op het oog hebben, zowel percentueel als in absolute euro's, harder gestegen dan onze huidige woning. Met andere woorden: we worden langzaam uit het wenselijke segment geprijsd!
Wat info:
- Netto inkomsten na aftrek vaste en variabele lasten: €2800.
- Zakgeld p.p. €750, dus €1500.
- Zuiver gez. spaargeld per maand: 2800-1500 = €1.300.
- Met 'zuiver' bedoel ik: na aftrek vaste en variabele lasten, boodschappen, kinderopvang, vakantie, potje voor onderhoud woning, (afschrijving) auto, etc, dus ik heb allemaal spaarpotjes voor (on)voorziene zaken en dit spaargeld kan dus 'vrij' gebruikt worden.
- We zien dat de hypotheekrentes aan het stijgen zijn.
- Qua banen zitten we wel stabiel, maar onze wens is wel om wat minder te werken als we stijgen in salaris en we (hopelijk) nog meer kinderen krijgen (we hebben nu 1 kind)
Eigenlijk heb ik twee vragen:
- Is het financieel verstandig om deze hierboven beschreven stap te nemen? We zijn bang toch iets te haastig een bod uitgebracht te hebben ivm de gekte op de huizenmarkt.
- (deze vraag heeft wellicht een te hoog glazen bol gehalte, maar ik stel hem toch maar:) Is het verstandig om nog even te wachten met het kopen van een huis, nu de hypotheekrentes stijgen?
