This is a canned response to oh shit we fucked up here.
How many years now, have we been literally begging for basic customer support on this sub.
Didn't take a bullshit survey to make this known. On another note here's some feedback about this game.
Leagues 5 was awesome. So good that it made me never want to play the real gam again.
Here's a polorizing opinion for you Jagex. I have ADHD, a job, a wife and kid.
I come to play this game for dopamine release, to escape the stresses of life. Not add to my stresses of realisation that I will NEVER be able to do some content.
I'm also a true old school purist.- I tried to give it a fair shot, but after 10 years of old school you've alienated me personally.
I am not some autistic metronome with great hand eye coordination, I'm an exhausted father who just wants to kill shit with relative ease to feel good about myself.
I don't have the time, patience, hand eye coordination or attention span to learn complex algorithmic timing sequences, Swapping gear every other game tick or bullshit rotations.
Leagues was fun, but in reality I would never see a dragon trophy without skipping work and dedicating 16 hours per day. I spent an insane amount of time during the 2 months I played.
You create updates in this game to appease the 0.1%.
Back in the RuneScape 2 days- you had two options of getting the best gear (dragon chain) be a sweaty nerd with no life taking on the kalphite queen or simply killing an obscene amount of dust devils which was easy, but made the drop even more thrilling.
This game is a shell of what it used to be.
My suggestion/opinion- make an old school old school RuneScape server. And simply rename this to RuneScape 2 classic. You'd be surprised at how many people would join.
How's that for a polorizing argument?

2025.01.18 12:21 jaykenton An apology for Scizor and Goodra players.
I always considered these two mons fundamentally useless in any rank I thought they deserved to be overbuffed/broken to be relevant. I expected the first to be outclassed by other allrounders, and the second to be ignorable at best.
In reality, I noticed that after minor buffs Scizor SD sits at a confortable 51% winrate plus high pickrate, with only minor buffs. BEFORE the buff Goodra Acid had already 51% winrate, with an extremely low pickrate. Now I expect Goodra Acid to potentially reach 53% or even 54% winrate.
The truth is that I literally never saw anyone playing AS Goodra. The sure-hit acid + dash + cc is a very solid mechanic that literally I was not aware of.
Why nobody played Acid Spray before?
Additionally, I think Goodra could be a counter to Garchomp, which I consider the strongest solo Q pick currently. However I don't know much about it.

After playing since launch I just quit. I deleted the game and my account to prevent me from ever considering returning. My retirement should send chills down the spine of the Scopely leadership (it won't) not because of me specifically (I'm not that important) but because of what I represent.
I was basically a launch player. I was in a top alliance. I am fortunate to have economic means and so I spent a good amount of money on the game. I was a whale. I'm a fan of the Marvel IP. Most importantly, I have a predisposition to gambling and traits of an addictive personality type. I check every box that Scopely wants in the way they manipulate their player base, use FOMO tactics, etc to sell their characters.
None of this is news to me. I'm smart enough to know what was happening. I made an informed choice as a consumer about what to do with my discretionary income. And then one day I just...wasn't interested anymore. The game was boring and stale and even my abnormal psychology wasn't enough to keep me interested. I didn't buy Herecles and it felt...fine. I didn't login for a day and it felt....good. Then I quit.
I'm writing this as an encouragement to all those folks whose brain might work like mine but who haven't been lucky enough to have the resources to support the habit. You can quit. After a few days of "detox" I don't find myself thinking about server reset or how to get the milestone items in the convoluted messes they call events. You can go back to using your phone for what it's for, you know, important stuff like lurking about on Reddit and looking up porn! Good luck commanders!
