Going through an arctic cold snap here in Colorado for the next four days. I left water dripping from all three faucets and opened cabinet doors as instructed. However late last night my son, who did not know the reason for this, turned them off and shut the cabinet doors. Once discovered this morning, I turned them back on a little to get the drips going again. Water came out but was sputtery. They are all dripping now. Does this mean I caught it in time or that my pipes may burst. Your advice is greatly appreciated!

2025.01.18 23:10 SpiritOfHumanity This is how I’ve been playing “barre chords”
I have a long ass thumb. And it hurts trying to pin it behind the guitar neck while trying to barre a chord with my pointer finger so I just wrap my thumb up over the E string and feet all the other notes in the chord. I find this technique to be more comfortable and I don’t know if I should be doing this since I’ve only been playing for a year and I’m still working on technique. Anyone else getting away with this? It sounds the same to me either way I do it

2025.01.18 23:10 Apprehensive_End2432 Accepted while continuing my education- can I just withdrawal from class or do I have to let schools know?
I finished my undergrad a few years ago and was sort of lost because I didn't do well. I decided to reenroll in college to become a teacher, and while there I made the decision to try to for law school, which seemed like a big reach. Yesterday, I received my first A and am very excited! Now that I have received an A and am going to law school this fall, I don't need these credits to become a teacher so it's a bit of a waste of money/time. On my law school apps I said I was continuing at this school through this May. Could I get in some sort of trouble if I withdrawal from my classes? Could I get an admit revoked or get in trouble with the bar for a discrepancy between my application and my transcripts? Am I under any sort of obligation to tell the school I've been accepted to/ schools I'm still waiting on? Thanks, and good luck to everyone waiting to hear back!

I had this bug today where at somenpoint O couldn't see the chat anymore 🤔 I stay with the same group for hours and at first everything was alright. But for some reason I could see chat anymore except for people who enter and leave. That and I couldn't ear my dwarf saying rock and stone more often.

I’ve been working on building some concept designs to post on Instagram and Dribbble, but i was wondering what the legal and moral implications of using photos that aren’t strictly from free licensed sites like Unsplash or paid stock photo platforms are. For example, if I find a photo I like on Pinterest or a random site like Artificial Digest, Guitar Center, or whatever, can I use those photos in my designs?
To clarify:
- I’m not using the photos to make money.
- They’d only be a small part of a larger design.
- I wouldn’t claim I took the photos.
- This is purely for concept web design work, not anything commercial.

I had a dream this morning where I tried to climb on Diane. And I decided to see which of the Seven Deadly Sins characters could climb on her. I call this The Mt. Diane Challenge.
The rules are simple: The Sins are going to compete to see who could climb on top of Diane's head the fastest. Diane is 30 feet tall and standing up straight. She is not allowed to move while her friends are climbing on her. And she's wearing the orange minidress she's wearing for most of the series. The competitors are the Seven Deadly Sins except for herself. Obviously she can't climb herself. I wanted to put Elizabeth in as a substitute, but this poll has a limit to six options. And so that nobody has an advantage over the others, no powers or abilities could be used. Especially King's ability to fly. If he flies, he's cheating. He would have to be touching Diane all the way. Merlin can't use her magic. Not only can Merlin's magic make her fly like King, Merlin can shrink Diane, and that would ruin the whole competition of climbing a giant if the giant shrinks to human size. Meliodis can't use his demon powers. Since nobody could use powers, Escanor would have to be in his weak form. Nobody could bring any tools or equipment. If someone uses any sharp tool a pickaxe, Diane would react to the pain and would bleed. They would have to use their bare hands. The Sins would have to put their Sacred Treasures away, and Meleodis can't carry his broken sword. Even if he's not going to use it, it would weigh him down.
Now which of the Seven Deadly Sins could climb from Diane's foot to her head the fastest without powers or tools?

I did not skip them in WuWa. I'm not certain why I did it, I just mentally prioritized what I wanted to do in WuWa. I really wanted to finish the Coop event with some friends of mine who also started playing, and it was fun strategizing echo choices and trying to get a higher score. I also really wanted to clear my world of echos for Zhezhi and Yinlin's new echo set because they're some of my favorite sub DPS classes and that set is a really awesome buff to their capabilities. It just didn't leave any mental energy to login to GI. I pulled Mavuika. I pulled Citlali. They weren't whale pulls, I actually get pretty lucky and got Citlali early after a mid-range whale on Mavuika for the Archon collection. I finished Natlan...and like...I realized there are so many things I am just sick of when playing. - I hate that I cannot skip boring, completely meaningless side quest dialogue if I don't have time for it or don't care. - I hate that I am stuck running around the world with a limited stamina bar. - I hate that I am slowly crawling up walls and mobility just feels dated and aged. - I hate that artifacts are extremely limited in how often and how much I can farm for them. - I hate that I'm limited on what days I can do what for things other than artifacts. - I hate feeling like Hoyo is balancing the entire game around their bottom line. All companies and business do this, but when it feels so blatant (I'm sorry but Citlali and Mavuika on the same patch just feels scummy even if I did get both luckily). Then when I went to do abyss...that made it feel even worse. Can you make the team requirements for relative success any more narrow? - I hate that the story is basically just going nowhere and has not gone anywhere since the very beginning. Sure, there are a lot of things that make it *seem* like the story is going somewhere, and a lot of things have happened that make it *feel* like maybe it's building to something...but I'm starting to think it's all just a mirage. The story of Natlan was disappointing, and I've started to lose faith that Hoyo actually has the narrative prowress to tie this all together in to some kind of neat little bow by the end. I feel like there's no way they can land this plane cleanly, and so they will instead give us some flailing, middling, "meh" ending (just like Natlan) that won't be horridly offensive but won't satisfy anyone. Hooray. How much have we learned about Paimon, our supposed "best friend" in several **years** of traveling with her? Literally damn nothing other than some BS about a string coming from the sky like a Celestia Balloon or something. Like...*who cares*. Yes, it's hinty, and mysterious, but there's only so much hinty & mysterious BS I can take before it starts to just bounce off of me as innocuous and eye-roll worthy. I figured it out though, all of this. Why they do all of this: they're simply wasting my time. They want me to log in every day and subject myself to all this junk to waste my time more and more. See the next pointless story beat that, in reality, tells me nothing of substance that I actually care about (inb4 in-depth lore nerds tell me all of the massively important critical details that we've learned from Natlan story *rolleyes*). Constantly hurry up and *wait* for the next day I'm allowed to do whatever it is I want to do. I'm just sick of all of that. All the waiting, all the conditions and nonsense with an overcast of corporate greed. It has moved the veil back a bit, like I'm a puppet in some kind of system that on the outside is attempting to be an insightful experience (or at least once was) but I can now clearly see it as a gigantic waste of mental energy and time. It's going to sound stupid, but this tiny little action of skipping a few days after being so annoyed with all these things that have bothered me for so long sort of made something click inside of my brain. I realized that I'm not having fun logging in to GI anymore and I'm actively enjoying WuWa as if it *were* what I used to think of Genshin. Do I feel a sense of sunk cost? Absolutely. It actually really hurts because I feel like GI has always been my "rock" game-wise. Even when I move in and out of other games, Genshin is always there to be my "baseline"...and for a while I was playing both Genshin and WuWa, and every since WuWa has started to improve patch by patch, it has more and more like Genshin is the "chore", while WuWA is the "main course". So why leave in such a redundancy to my daily routine when I can just skip it and put my time to something else that I actually like doing? I realized I've been sticking with GI all this time because I feel like I had a bond with the story and characters, but in actuality I was wrestled in to an iron grip of manipulation. Kuro is a business and I know they are out to get my money in every bit the same way as Genshin. I'm sure if presented with the opportunity to make as much money as Genshin, they'd take it without a second thought, but *something* about them after all of this amazing content tells me...they'd still be looking out for the players. Yes, they'll continue to grow, yes they will find more ways to monetize things and we will all grin and roll our eyes, but I truly do feel like they won't forget about us and that our enjoyment will be a priority regardless. The grass is honestly, truly, greener, and it took me a while to really get it all in perspective. I'm sad, but at the same time a huge sense of relief...right up to the *very end* I was pulling for characters I thought I wanted to play for the long term, and I have so many characters built and so many constellations and weapons and items and progress...and yet...I don't care. It's all a symbol of the vast amount of time I feel like Hoyo manipulated out of me. It just feels corrupt and dirty now, and I want to leave it behind. Thank you Kuro games, for helping me figure this out. It's only been a few days, but my mood when jumping on the PC at the end of the day to play games just feels...so much lighter. I'm happy to be focusing on a game that I feel like respects my time. Fun to play, tons of QOL features and mechanics that diversify my experience...and no anchor that I need "keep up on" in the background. Maybe one day I will try playing both again, but that time is not now. GI would have to, at this point, make some seriously vast leaps in improvement that match the momentum that WuWa now has (in my eyes). For now...I'm a Rover through and through.
