Finally reached the promised land. I have my appointment on the 4th Feb for actual sign off. However, my weight bearing has been doing so well in the meantime time that I attempted my first few steps today.
No pain, slight discomfort in the ankle, very weird balancing on this leg while stepping.
I've noticed recently that my progress has sped up significantly. I'm getting a cane ordered to go about day to day while I'm still working out the kinks in my balance. But we're finally here.

2025.01.18 23:15 lesbianphysicist What could be causing recurring episodes of pain, swelling, and itching in my fingers?
Hi, I am a 22 year old woman struggling to figure out what has been going on with my hands. Throughout the last several months, I’ve occasionally woken up to one or more of my fingers being very swollen, painful, and itchy, with limited mobility. The swelling is usually concentrated in the upper half of the finger, and my knuckles are the most tender spot (especially the DIP joints). The affected fingers are noticeably red and swollen. It doesn’t seem to respond to ice, ibuprofen, etc. and seems to last anywhere from a couple days to a week or two.
I have no other known health conditions — any guesses what could be going on? Is this something I should be concerned about?

2025.01.18 23:15 georgeaf99 Brand new skylights leaking. First time homeowner. Help!
Spending a metric ton of money on a new standing seam roof with numerous skylights. Two days ago all these skylights were replaced along with the roof around them. Today I come home to find them all wet and a few dripping into the interior of my home. Looks like it was not properly tarped when they left for the weekend and some warm weather and rain today melted all the snow and ice that was up there underneath the new layer of roof. The plywood above every single skylight is wet (not soaked) and one or two are dripping slightly. Temps are set to freeze overnight while everything is still wet.
They are sending someone by tomorrow to assess. Although the job has taken 2x as long to complete as quoted I have been pretty happy with the work. New England winters are no joke and they show up and work hard, respect.
I’m a first time homeowner and want to make sure I’m not getting left with issues down the road from this mishap. The job is not yet complete but very close, and I want to ensure this is dealt with properly before they pack up and leave.
How worried should I be about this causing extensive damage to the plywood and/or exterior walls?
What is reasonable to request of my contractor in terms of investigating possible damages this has caused?

Tenho uma casa pequena mas que no 2 andar ganha muita condensação na casa de banho que é pequena e só abro a janela no fim do banho e fica muito molhada e as vezes sinto que passa para o corredor e quarto ao lado. Que fazer para potenciar o desumidificador? Meto no quarto também ? Quando o usei pela primeira vez a humidade estava a 91 agora mantém nos 75 e quando uso consegue levar para os 55 que é o nível que escolhi e desligo porque tenho medo que gaste muita energia

I didn’t have any issues in the beginning with the game unexpectedly quitting, but have increasingly gotten more crashes in the past 2 weeks. Logged in today and the game is entirely unplayable. Verifying files doesn’t work, running game/steam as admin doesn’t work, uninstalling/reinstalling doesn’t work, starting game in safe mode doesn’t work. Was there a fix somewhere I’m not finding that’ll stop this?

It's very cool too listen to these tapes, especially the ones on the right because you know somebody went through and recorded them all. Its been fun going through the unlabeled ones and gluing an index card to the case and writing whatever is on them. Best thing is, Im maybe only $30 in and started december 25th. I also have some more in my truck in one of the old drawer style things, like the rest of the classicals with the 2 at center bottom, a jethro tull that got the end of the tape ripped off, some wrinkly ones that sound bad etc. But most of em are here. And thanks to help from yall I now know the main parts of my player and how to maintain it. I also bought a "capstan pinch roller cleaner" but it might just be cheeks.
Unfortunately a few of these have a case of something cool but I opened it up and listened to it and it was just THE ENTIRE TITANIC SOUNDTRACK (Sianora) when it used to be 60s music as written on the label on the back. One of them i was excited for because it was Stevie wonder and the temptations but it was just a grandma singing a choir song.

You guys....I tried Maelstrom for the first time tonight and let me tell you...I am OBSESSED. It is GORGEOUS!! I gasped when I painted the first stroke. Now I need other polishes that are similar to it so...any suggestions? I was looking at Pomegranate Seeds but I'm not sure. The flaky glitter is to die for though.
