Hello All,
About me
I am have currently been in this position for 9 months and I am only 24 and looking to seek for improvements. I work in Manufacturing finishes for high-end products and I manage two teams which is fairly small, only 6 people in total. So I am very inexperienced with this position and I want to further my skills greatly.
What I am doing. - I am planning the days on computer - Cleaning - I help out everyday, depending on how much work and if anyone is away. I always feel it is great to get my hands dirty every now and then to show that I help. - Always trying for improvements current processes, which I currently have and have fixed and improved lots of things. - Regular meetings to seek improvements and check up on employees - I Spoil 1 team with 5 members, Out of my pocket lunches usually monthly, as they give me great respect and do a super Job. ------------------------------------------------------ I neglect the other Team with 1 member, I do not spoil , I only spoil with my help. As this person has little work ethic, completely disrespects me, does not trust my experience in the area he works in and when I end up teaching from own mistakes from being stubborn to trust my experience. This person is twice my Age which makes sense why this person would not listen me. With this kind of worker I have to suck eggs, so this person is comfortable doing the job and is happy. The Upper management are aware of this person and just seem to want me to put up with up.
With this am I wrong doing this?
My questions - Is being too nice a bad thing and what is the balance of this? Example(I usually bottle things up and suck it up if it is something I know is not worth fighting for, I do say No to what I do not believe is wrong and Yes a 'lot to avoid conflict.) - In terms of day to Day to day Jobs. What should I be doing more? - Employee Performances (KPI) how would I do this and should I? - In terms of employee treatment should I be checking up with them one on one? Or being personal? - Is there any free courses or things I can look up to make improvements? - What the balance between helping and sitting back managing?

So, my small business uses (well, used) a platform called Lark for communication, an office suite, and more. I knew that ByteDance had created it initially, but I thought they fully separated it from their main business. Apparently not, since it is also subject to the TikTok ban, and my business now has to scramble to get a new software suite. We're looking at alternatives currently, and hope to get back up and running on a different product soon. This is mostly just to rant, as there goes my peaceful Sunday.

Why has this game gone over 5 years with balancing and tweaking of everything to do with special and such just to release raids and render personal play styles useless? Is there something I missed? FTM here and my baby will be 6 months old soon. My plan is to teach her how to use a straw cup once we start doing solids. My question is, once she has mastered it do you just exclusively use straw cups from there on out? No more bottle ? Or does it not matter? She is bottle fed and I EP.

I’m in the process of buying a house in the west seventh neighborhood. During the inspection they did a sewer scope, the inspector explained to me that the system the house uses is a sandstone sewer system made of limestone. I understand that this is very prevalent in this neighborhood. Can anyone living in west seventh tell me about their experience with it? I’m a first time home buyer and this sewer system makes me a little anxious.

Every time I make decisions that think a lot and then do. Still think I can be more prepared. What causes my frustration is I do something that it sounds nice but I am aware of what I do and find something doesn’t appear good to others. Mostly I aware what I behave and reflect myself and think for something that I did but I shouldn’t do therefore regret. I think if my life without regretting things it would be better. Why am I just thinking so much about how I appear to others?
