Helllo. New resident here.. cant find an article or a book which talks of how much O2 and air should the pacient receive during surgery. I worked with 5 anaesthesiology specialist and all of them had different styles. During surgery one had 3L O2 with 1L Air (+2% Sevo), the other had 1L O2 with 1L air (+ 2% sevo), the other one 2L O2 with 2L air (2% Sevo) etc… all the pacient were intubated (general surgery). Where i can find research of how much air should the pacient receive suring surgery? Thanks

2025.01.19 13:00 Ncksxn I am so f****** down at the moment. (29/M)
I’m struggling more than I have before at the moment with how I’m feeling. Due to a few factors (which I’ll talk about below) including an injury which has stopped me exercising until it has been diagnosed and advised what to do to recover.
As of late I have noticed I am being hypercritical of actions I do, invalidating of things I achieve albeit large or small. I’ve also noticed have started becoming impatient with people in my life who I am supposed to love (family).
I am also struggling with conversations with friends, colleagues and anyone I come into contact with. I just feel so alone at the moment I don’t feel like I have a friend group I connect with, as I know community and groups are a basic human need.
It’s wearing me down to the point where I have resorted to spending any free time alone, in my room, watching various media to keep my mind occupied for negative thoughts.
I just need a little guidance with how to work on these things. I struggle with self love, acceptance and confidence. Please can you advise anything to help me get started with improving this mindset and the things I’m struggling with?

My 9.5 month old is sleep trained and self soothes using her thumb. This was great until recently because she has eczema and it’s winter. Now her thumb regularly bleeds and oozes from the eczema and the thumbsucking even with use of Betaderm which is the strongest steroid cream the pediatrician will prescribe and I just don’t know what to do.
We cover her thumb for naps and night sleep when it starts to bleed or the skin breaks, but she really doesn’t sleep well and can’t link nap sleep cycles without her thumb.
Any advice?
