Now, I’m coming back with a new idea: investing in a vehicle for safari rides, possibly for places like Yala or similar tourist destinations.

Hello, so weird question, I know. But I’ve been studying the 13 colonies (for education ) and I remember reading that most Americans are of German origin. Looking at American DNA tests, a lot of them still show around 40% British heritage, but I’m not sure if that percentage comes from later immigrants or the colonists. I also remember reading somewhere in my course that the 13 colonies were about 25% (something like that) Northwest European (excluding British), so some of that German heritage must come from the 13 colonies. So, roughly how much of that heritage comes from the 13 colonies? Thanks for you time.

I just read District X from 2004-2005 for the first time, I really enjoyed it, but it made me wonder why the X-Men don't just go to Mutant Town and recruit mutant kids, there were already plenty of mutants with useless abilities at the Academy and it would surely give them a better life rather than live in an area with the highest rate of illiteracy, crime and unemployment. Bishop was a consultant in mutant-related matters to the NYPD and part of the XSE who thought that mutants should be integrated into society so it makes sense that he's not making any referrals to the Xavier Institute but I'm surprised Cyclops or Emma didn't try to get involved when mutant kids like Toad are being trafficked for their mutant ability to make drugs. other mutant kids are getting hooked on the drug and mutant kids are sleeping rough in the Tunnels.
They brought X23 from Mutant Town because she's Wolverine's clone, but there were so many other young mutants who could have also benefitted from going to Xavier's. Laura's own mutant friends Kiden and Tatiana moved in with a friend into an apartment in mutant town at sixteen, having to dumpster dive to get by. I get that it's plot reasons but what reasons do you think the X-Men could have for not helping these mutants? I also remember that Surge (Noriko Ashida) was homeless in New York for years before even going to the gates of the Xavier Institute. They're constantly flying across the world to bring back a specific new mutant when Cerebro finds them, but it seems odd that they haven't bothered using Cerebero to detect and help the young mutants who are within driving distance.

 | hi, please help i keep breaking needles and idk if my sewing machine is broken 🥲 at first i thought it’s too thick fabric. then i accidentally hit the pin 📍. then i thought it’s the cheap needles so i bought singer ones (for a singer machine). but now i’m using the jeans needle for not even too thick fabric, i’ve been careful not to hit anything metal and i broke the needle AGAIN 😩 and i noticed my needle is slightly off centre as you can see in the pictures, it’s like 1 milimetr to the right. (third picture is me holding it in the centre) do you think that’s it? do i need to take my machine to the repair shop? i really hoped i wasn’t gonna have to do that because apparently they charge half the price of the new machine for the service but idk what else it could be. That said, I also own two gas cars, one of which is a Toyota Corolla. Let’s be honest—it’s probably one of the least thrilling cars to drive in terms of excitement. Yesterday, I decided to take it for a spin after the battery had died and I had to jump-start it.
Surprisingly, I had some mixed feelings during the drive. As much as I adore my Tesla, I realized how much I also missed the raw, mechanical feel of a gas car—those manual clicks, the tactile feedback, and just the overall old-school driving experience. It was oddly satisfying in its own way.
So, I’ve now made a little rule for myself: at least once a week, I’m going to take my gas cars out for a drive. I think it’s a good way to appreciate both worlds and not let them sit too long.
Just wanted to share my experience—anyone else feel the same way after switching to an EV?

It starts up quick, but if I try to turn the choke all the way to the right (off) , it starts to rev. up and down as if it needs to be cleaned. I am going to try fuel additives, but if that doesn't work, is this an easy carb to take out and replace or clean?

Idea!! Self Serve Non-Adoption Cat cat So, I'm a self proclaimed cat lady and I have an idea. What if there was a cat cafe that was self serve? I'm not looking to adopt my cats out, you see. Theyre my babies. But I've always loved being able to sit with a cup of coffee and watch their antics. What if others like to do this too? You come in, have a cup of coffee and be entertained by the fluffy cuteness that are cats. Maybe read a book too, as I'm an avid reader myself - that is until a little furry butt plops on your book demanding attention!
That said, I can bring the cats to the idea. But I don't have a location, nor the money to do it on my own. If anyone participates it would have to be locally and they'd have to accept that my word is law regarding my little ones.
My idea is simple, albeit slightly complex. A cat cafe, a book store, a coffee house. Maybe enlven a place so sell cat supplies like treats, toys and clothing - if you can keep it on your cat that is!
So, anyone who has advice is welcome to comment. Don't hate and please don't steal ideas. Anyone wanting to participate, please comment. I think this could be a real great business model that others could utilize.
For me though, I'll be honest. I love my cats. I love books. I love coffee and I love food. Combining these seems like a hermits paradise.
