 | Small crack that runs from the back to under the E tuning peg. It is wider under the side of the headstock than the back. It doesn’t appear to have gone beyond the lacquer but I can’t be certain. 2025.01.19 15:09 CathDorth GPU fans ramp up on autosave or ALT-TAB
I've seen some other posts about this previously, but feel they don't often provide much helpful info to try diagnose the problem, so here's my go.
Manor Lords is pretty intensive on the ol' GPU, with my fan curve keeping it just below 80C when playing. However, when I ALT-TAB or the game autosaves, the GPU fans inexplicably ramp up to what I can only assume is 100% before immediately coming back down to the right level.
I've observed the temps when this is happening, and they basically do not change. The card which was hovering at 80C drops for a few seconds and then returns to normal until the next autosave. This is the only game where this happens, and I cannot track down the issue.
Some things to consider:
- I've locked my FPS to 90 through the NVIDIA control panel, as the in-game lock goes from 60 to 120 with nothing between
- I have tried locking the game to 60 FPS using the in-game framerate lock, and the same thing happens, so it's almost definitely not temperature related
- I use FanControl to control my fan speeds, but even before installing this, the same thing would occur
- Yes, I have the most up to date drivers for my hardware, and this Windows installation is basically brand new, having done a fresh install last week
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- GPU: RTX 3070 Ti
- Memory: 32GB DDR5 @ 6000 MHz
- PSU: Corsair RM1000e

Hey folks,
I apologize in advance if these questions have already been answered in the subreddit before, but I couldn't find it. I played a game with my Wrecka Krew at my LGS last night and there were a couple points of debate which arose that I was hoping to get some clarification on.
- When it comes to using Wrecka points, are you able to use them in reaction to what your opponent does? For example: Say my opponent has 1 wound remaining. I roll an attack and get 3 successes + 3 fails. My opponent rolls 3 saves and gets 2 successes + 1 fail, and so would be dead if the dice resolve that way. They then use a CP to reroll the failure, and succeed for a total of 3 saves vs my 3 successes and would survive. It is at this point that I spend 1 Wrecka point to turn a failed attack into a success, meaning in the end I retain a total of 4 successes and my opponent retains only 3 saves and their operative is incapacitated. The argument that arises is that if my opponent knew I was going to use a Wrecka point and kill them anyway they may not "waste" a CP on the reroll, and on the other side of that if I don't know that my opponent is going to retain another save I would not "waste" a Wrecka point if they would be dead anyway without it. My understanding is that in between rolling the dice and resolving them, any changes/modifications happen effectively simultaneously so you would get to respond to your opponent's actions and vice versa before both accepting the final results and resolving?
- When the Breaka Boy Demolisha fights using the "detonate" tankhammer profile, as soon as you would inflict damage the detonate WR takes effect. In the descriptor for that WR, after explaining how damage is calculated it reads "Then the action ends and you gain 1 Wrecka point". Given that the rules for "detonate" are a WR, not an action, it was my interpretation that the action which ends is the FIGHT during which "detonate" triggered. So if an enemy operative fights my Demolisha and gets two successes on the attack roll, they would be able to strike me once, but then once detonate occurs the fight ends and they do not get to strike me with their second success?
- For the "Shokkwave" effect on the Pulsa Rokkit ("Whenever an operative is within x" of your pulsa marker, worsen the hit stat of its weapons by 1 and subtract 2" from its move stat"), does this only take effect if you are starting or ending a move within range? For example, if an operative starts outside the range of the pulsa but then uses a reposition action of 6" and walks into it, does that reposition action get reduced to 4" once entering the radius or does the operative keeps its unmodified move stat of 6" for that action, and only drop to a 4" move stat if it is still in range at the end of the reposition?
