2025.01.19 16:11 bengalbear24 We’re on a break, I’m thinking of leaving, but now he’s saying meditation and therapy will “fix” his behaviors…
I have one and a half feet out the door of this relationship, and now that we’re on a “break” he’s telling me that he believe he can “fix” all this abusive behaviors that I’ve been begging him to fix for the past 4 years of our relationship.
His behaviors are mainly verbal and emotional abuse, which are partially due to childhood abuse/trauma, and partially due to his rage/anger problems, heightened by impulse control issues. Every month or so of our relationship, he will impulsively dump me, cuss me out, scream at me, call me names, mock/belittle me, threaten the silent treatment, and occasionally throw things. I tried to leave once and he threatened suicide in front of me to keep me there. His rage is very unsettling and he knows I absolutely hate it when he treats me this way. I’ve been asking him to change for years, he keeps saying that he will, but then it happens again. I love him so much, but his behaviors exhaust, scare, and drain me.
Now he’s telling me that he has started to meditate and started therapy and it’s “saving his life”. He tells me that his psychologist believes he can completely eradicate his bad impulsive behaviors by doing CBT and DBT consistently and being highly motivated. He’s been begging me to reconsider and to save our relationship, to rebuild it completely. I urged him to do these things years ago but there was always some reason for not doing it: not enough money for therapy, not even time, a mental health crisis, suicidal depression making him unmotivated, being stressed in school, thinking it wouldn’t work, trying some therapists and not liking them and quitting, etc. But now apparently it’s working, and he’s motivated to become a completely new and different man. He keeps talking about Buddhism and how it’s fixing his psyche and making him calm, peaceful, loving instead of agitated and aggressive.
I’m so tempted to give him another chance. Why did he wait until now to promise to fix himself?!

I lied to myself
I didn't drink Friday because I told myself I was drinking on Saturday. Saturday I said to myself, I'll just start with a redbull. May as well try that alcohol free cider now. Time for a boogie. Oh look I've done the entire night and stayed up until 2am!
Will try these little lies to myself again on Friday this week as it's a party on Saturday which is just an excuse for food and many drinks.

Hi, I'm back on Duolingo after a hiatus, and the app looks very different.
I think it used to be that when I ran out of hearts, I could go and practice/review old lessons.
Now, when I run out of hearts, it seems like I can't actually do anything at all? Anything I press prompts the app to ask me for money. Is there anything I can do other than wait the hours to refresh hearts?

So I got taken advantage of and registered my ar9 during the pistol brace amnesty on a form 1 ,approved with conditions . I have a copy of the approved form 1 but it's not anywhere on my eform account. Did they remove them? A little concerned that all I have is a pdf of an approved form. My other paid forms are all still there.
Tldr: Did I miss the memo about brace law change and amnesty form 1s?

2025.01.19 16:11 Nereus3 I need help to figure out what kind of armour especially helmet is best for me
I know girl and boy armour and helmets are normally different so I should probably say I'm a boy because it makes a difference with armour but yeah I was wondering what helmet will give me the best visibility and if I could wear glasses under it and yes I know I will most likely have to get contact lenses or have the visor specially made for me which is annoying but if that's what I have to do then it's what I will try to do and I want to have some kind of pockets if possible so it's more practical to wear when at a convention or something but yeah my main problem is the helmet so if anyone knows what kind of armour would be best please let me know and I want to maybe make it out of metal one day but for now I can make most of it out of something else but hopefully metal one day also sorry this is so long also please don't complain that I haven't put the dots and stuff it's because I don't know how to use them but I'm figuring it out but yeah sorry this is so long

Hello all, I have been out of the loop for a while, stepped away from WoW and other games since I had to go overseas for a while, not to mention a bunch of other stuff. The last time I remember playing was at the start of Shadowlands, and since then I have been all over different games and such that I've straight up forgotten a lot.
To put it simply, me and my wife are going to be hopping back in to play together, and we plan to start from level 1. Neither of us remember where to get addons or where to install, but I can look up a video for that. What I need to know is what addons would you all suggest for me and my wife who are returning?
She's not as deep into MMO games like me, so she's more the kind of "the simpler the better" person, usually letting me lead the questing and leveling.
I'm more the power leveler when I'm solo, and have plans to build a crafter and gatherer when she's not wanting to play. We both mostly focus on PVE, but I know I'll need to relearn stuff like TSM and Gathermate (if those are still a thing). I'd like to try and get the most out of the few hours we usualy get to play.
Any and all help and advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you all

From the other three classes who has the best right-hand man in the series so far Arisu with Hashimoto Ryuen with Kaneda or Hiyori your pick or Ichinose with Kanzaki I am genuinely curious as to how the community ranks these second in command characters from each class side note I would have put Katsuragi as a right hand mand but considering he wasn't always in Ryuen class I decided to exclude him for someone who has been the the class the whole time and the author always keeps reminding us that he's more of the leader type with Ryuen’s class being the only genuine class to have a suitable leader replacement if the leader got expelled.
