Hi Reddit! So recently I’ve been feeling as if my relationship is falling apart. So for some background…..I 20F and my boyfriend 21M have been together for almost five months and we’re starting to encounter some problems. So let me just start off by saying my boyfriend and I have known each other since we were little. We were really good friends to high school where we kinda grew apart and lost touch. We rekindled our friendship back in the summer and started dating about a month after doing so. There was always feelings between us for many years but there was always something in the way. At the start of our relationship he was very talkative and always very supportive of me. We would talk for hours say good morning all the things you do during the honeymoon phase. But in the last month he’s started to pull away from me. He started responding to me less and less, he stopped initiating conversations, and he honestly started to seem really annoyed when talking to me. I thought it was due to work related stress and the long distance we’ve been doing since he has a job in another state right now. I wasn’t going to press him about it until he flat out started to ignore me for entire days. It came to a point where I couldn’t take it anymore and I had a conversation with him over the phone telling him how I feel and how his actions have been hurting me. He said he’d change and he’d fix things. He hasn’t. I talked to him about it 3 days after that initial conversation because I really don’t want to lose him and his actions have really been hurting me and he said the same thing once again. I’m a very optimistic person and I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt so I thought maybe work is really hard for him right now or whatever. I chose not to keep pressing the issue because I don’t want to keep begging and pleading but I just really don’t know what to do anymore. He claims he’ll keep my feelings in mind and he’ll work on it but he hasn’t done anything I asked. What I asked was he says good morning good night and a little text in the middle of the day to check up or just talk for a minute nothing too crazy. But still nothing. I decided I’d try and talk about it once more again last night and let’s just say that conversation hurt me even more than I thought. He told me I’m not interesting to him anymore and we both have different ways of doing things. He also told me I’m more laid back while he’s very driven to get what he wants. Now for background my boyfriend is very independent and has the avoidant attachment style. I on the other hand have really bad anxiety issues due to how I was treated in high school. I also have the anxious attachment style I’ve been working on healing. I suggested tonight that maybe until he comes back from his work we find something we want the other person to work on. So for example say he wants me to work on getting out of the house more and making new friends. I’d do that and see where we are with it when he comes home middle of February. I thought it would be a good way to maybe solve some issues we have with the other and hopes to fix the rift we have. He said he was down for the idea. We haven’t talked about what we want from it yet but I really want him to try and put more effort and communication in with me. Personally I’m not sure if this is a fantastic idea but I’m trying everything to fix some issues we have. Please any advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated. I really want to fix the rough spot we’re in and improve the relationship because i genuinely see a future with this man.

I'm new to this subredit, and to reddit altogether really. I've just started making a Project Zomboid roleplaying series, where I craft characters, their basic backstories, and then play out their stories, unscripted. I've uploaded the first one already. I am data scientist at a startup, I have been working as a data scientist since my graduation 2019, across multiple startups and mid sized companies. I only have a bachelors and gained most of my knowledge through projects and work.
I’m married and have a one year old. I’m applying to jobs, but it seems the minimum requirement for many of the roles need atleast a masters . I can freelance and do my masters, is it the right move?
