Majority of people except for me suffer from failure (jk) but anyways most of us have moments of failure and then we tend to focus and agonise at the moment itself rather than actively trying to find out how you could have done things better.
Find out how you could have done it better, then apply it in the future. If that fails, rinse and repeat.
For example, you failed an exam because you studied at the last minute.
The solution is simple, estimate how much time you need to fully cover the material plus a little bit more time for unforeseen events and maybe start a month earlier etc.
And you do this for everything until you can do everything in an ideal manner without having to think about it. Then you can actually put your focus into things that need it

2025.01.20 11:20 Japonpoko Feeling guilty because kitten is taking some distance?
I didn't know how to write my question, so I'll try to make myself clear.
I've adopted from a shelter a beautiful kitten, 4 months after adopting a first one from a breeder. That first one, a Maine Coon, is in love with my wife, as she's always at home with him, and very good with cats. We wanted to give him a little partner, so I've read a lot about the best way to introduce them to eachother gradually, over 3 weeks. It worked for the best, and even though the first day was a bit stressful (a lot of pretty harsh play), it only took 1 day to see our Maine Coon already acting like his... mother? At least our kitten thinks of him as his mother (seeing how he's looking for milk from him, which, well, won't come out obviously).
So, everything is perfect, except... I got super attached to him, because he was always so lovely, riding on my back and rubbing his face on mine whenever I was going to his room.
And now, he stopped doing that, as he mostly cares about our Maine Coon, which is absolutely amazing, and I realize how lucky we are, because that is exactly what we wanted for both of them. I just can't help to feel sad that I can't get him showing affection anymore to me, and I feel guilty everytime I try to get some, because I know he's happier this way.
Thing is, he came to sleep on my bed tonight, but only because my wife saw I was sad and decided to close her door (different sleeping hours, so our rooms are separate). Because we know that if we let him go wherever he wants, he'll go where our Maine Coon is, and that is with my wife. And I feel guilty for enjoying this time with our kitten. So I'm going to ask her to open her door next time, even though I feel sad about it.
So, how do you deal with this kind of feeling? Have you ever felt this way? Any advice to learn how to deal with it?

I am 25 male ( 6'1, engineer, above average looks) and never been in a relationship. I never felt like having a girlfriend in all these years.. now everyone around me in the office have a good amount of experiences in relationship and have a high body.
I heard a girl saying and also see on social media that if a person who is decent looking and tall and above 24 and have never dated anyone is a major red flag.
Now I have so much regret why i missed all the chances. Everyone will judge me.
Guys am i cooked. Or these are all social media hypes.

I want to delete all of my apps. I did it in the past and it was so liberating. I don’t want to be part of this shit show and I don’t think I will feel FOMO at all. Thing is part of my job depends on it. I am a copywriter for socials and I do other things that need promotion on social media. I rely on a small community that I built over the years to create awareness about endometriosis, infertility and pelvic congestion syndrom and I don’t know how to get out of the rabbit hole. I thought maybe I could work just with substack but I think my message will lost power, and so many women need these diagnoses. I don't profit from it, but I care a lot about this issue. Does anyone else feels stuck with social media? Like I hate them and what they mean but I need them more than they need me. Its very frustrating.

Da li i vi imate probleme sa ghostanjem u dejtingu? U smislu da odete na 1,2,3 dejta s nekim i osoba vam umjesto da iskomunicira da nije zainteresirana, prestane odgovarati na poruke skroz ili danima.
Ja se pitam jesam li ja napravila (lezba sam) nešto da se osoba ne osijeca sigurno reći mi kako se osijeća? Ili su to takvi ljudi jednostavno koji to rade svima u tom slučaju, neovisno kako se ti ponašaš prema njima.
Samo ne želim da ispadne kao da sam ja prelako odustala od nekog "samo" jer mi nisu odgovarali na poruke. Ne znam ali meni to smeta što ispada kao da su poruke jedini zapravo pokazatelj što netko misli o tebi u tom slučaju. Ne želim napadati ljude zašto mi ne odgovaraju i slati duple poruke, svađati se ili slično. A i pogotovo ne želim slušati još dodatnih laži ako kažem da mi smeta to. I onda laži da neće više to napravit pa opet napravi, i onda ispada kao da ih molim da mi odgovore, ali kao da ja nisam zapravo vrijedna toga. Čak i kad znaju da mi smeta i dalje neće napraviti to.
Ne znam da li je to stvarno normalno ganjati nekoga toliko i jesam li ja u redu što "odustanem" od nekog što mi prestanu odgovarati na poruke? Stvarno me malo me muče ovakve situacije, jer znam da ne mogu prisiliti nekog da odgovori. A ne želim osijecati krivnju nego staviti točku na "i".

So its 5:14 am right now. Around 30 minutes ago I was asleep. I felt a slap to my face. I felt it! Then I had a minute long type of sleep paralysis. I kinda of still feel like my face was slapped.
