So, basically, I was on a call not too long ago with some long distance friends. Friends I've known for 5-6 months. I was in my room, and it's right next door to my mom's. The call lasted over 2 hours.
When it ended, my mom called me and asked who I was talking to. I said some friends I met online, she said "so you're talking to strangers?". I didn't know how to answer so I said "I guess, but I've known them for a while".
She turned it into a whole lecture about human trafficking. Meanwhile, I'm talking to people who live continents away. And it's not like I plan to go meet them without her knowledge, I'm 15. I don't have the money, passport, or even the gall to leave the country on my own at my age.
I tried to explain that I didn't have plans to meet them, she said I was willingly putting myself in danger. Sure, there's risks of being on the internet, but that doesn't stop her from posting everything about me on Facebook for anyone to see.
So now, she's forcing me to write a 4 page essay on human trafficking. Lucky me.

Got to say I'm getting pretty tired (and disillusioned) with the process of reporting images for TOS violations. When it's a single image, fine, I'll report it as a one-off.
But I'm increasingly seeing cases where people flood dozens of very clear cut violations (CSAM and/or bestiality) to the image galleries. I'm not going through the effort of reporting each one separately for a handful of Buzz. That's getting into "actual work" territory and I don't do that for free.
Can we please have an option to report multiple violations at once? Maybe even flag the whole account for investigation right from the images gallery? I know we can report an account on their profile page but I think it'd be in Civitai's best interest to make this process as smooth as possible.

I’m curious about everyone’s thoughts on Return to Lonesome Dove. I really like John Voight, but obviously he doesn’t bring Capt. Call to life the same way as Tommy Lee Jones did. I also like that Newt gets a lot more focus, but the sequel just doesn’t have the same natural cohesion that the original did. Maybe it was the fact that the original was much more rooted in the literature. Or maybe it was the original cast that just had the right chemistry. It’s pretty hard to beat the original main lineup of Duvall, Jones, Schroeder, Glover, and others. Or maybe it’s the combination of those two aspects. Whatever it is, I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts on it.

I've just applied to YC and there's a very slim chance I might get in, but I'm thinking to hedge my bets.
I've already applied to other programs as well such as Sequoia's Arc, HF0, ReaktorX and PearX (honestly, what's with the X thing?).
What other programs would you recommend? Please also let me know if you've attended them, on the website they all look great, but I'd like to hear from someone with first-hand experience.

 | Hi, I managed to buy old used 200/1200 skywatcher with autotracking mount. Seller told me it's around 10 years old and I couldn't really find anything about it or if it could it be turned into go-to. As far as I have found out apparently the remote itself is the thing actually controlling mount? Do I just need to buy synscan V5 remote to turn it to go-to? Then I saw video where apparently wifi-dongle completely makes remote unnecessary and I have already have skysafari. Is that only thing I need? Shop online also has wifi dongle with "wand" that you can point to sky and make telescope turn to it, but apparently synscan app does same but with the phone. What's up with that? I have searched and read enough to make my head spin, is wifi dongle really all I need? If that's the case, then this telescope was really really good deal. The main requirement for the Nikon camera is that it needs at least 9V to turn on and function. I'm not sure if the linked power bank would work because I don't understand what "Adaptive" means in this context. Does it mean it can adapt to the camera's power requirements?
