I know this is a topic we don't talk about. But I wanna hear. I am asthmatic I have made peace with this situation but I don't like discussing it with people because wanakuhurumia hurumia mahuruma hazina njia oohh "oohh you are taking ice cream si you will get an attack ama you will get sick" oohh "you are going for swimming si utakuwa mgonjwa" 🙄🙄sometimes my inhaler falls na kama kuna watu I feel sometype of way🙄🙄 I hate it when my mum makes a big deal of it just one cough and she there with hot water, cetrizen, pdl, etc etc😂😂. I'd say I have done a good job in stabilizing it but I haven't achieved max stability. Haven't had an attack in like an year but take a tables of cetrizine or monticust nearly everyday.

2025.01.20 21:00 TheAgedProfessor Experience with newest Iotty switches?
It looks like Iotty has finally given their most recent line of switches the ability to add dimming. Two things I'm wondering that I'm hoping someone with experience with these switches can answer
1) the switch presents what appears to be a capacitive slider above the power button for controlling the dimmer. I'm wondering how that works. Is it only on/active when the switch is on? Or can you also touch the slider when the switch is off to turn the switch on to the level you touched? ie - with the light off, can I touch the top of the slider on the switch to immediately turn the light on at full brightness?
2) it appears the dimming is added to the switch by attaching an additional hardware module to the back of the switch. Is this module capable of dimming something like a ceiling fan, or is it just rated for lights? If the latter, is there a module available that is rated for ceiling fans?
Would also be interested in experiences with these switches in general. Are they worth it? Do they work well with SmartThings? I'm particularly interested in their WAF.

My daughter is 5.5 weeks old and cannot stay awake during feedings even though she naps as scheduled and sleeps at night.
We use Dr Browns bottles and she’s fed alternating bottles of breast milk and formula, but takes 45 min to an hour for only 3 ounces of milk regardless of what it is (so don’t think it’s that she dislikes the formula, etc). She deals with reflux and does sometimes dribble milk down her chin during feedings, but I’m wondering if I need to up the flow on the nipples? We are currently using Dr. Browns Level 1.
Any thoughts ? I’ve done the diaper change, undressing, foot flicking, cold hands, etc and nothing really works when trying to wake her while eating.

Hi reddit, hoping for some advice from anyone who may be able to provide it.
Simply put, my boyfriend is a US citizen going to school paid by the US government as he is ex-military, and while we want to start the next part of our lives together by moving in, this means me moving to the US until his schooling is done. This said, I don't have a specific career — I am very good at a lot of different types of things, but admittedly at 32 years of age still don't know "what I want to do". I know the things and industries I'd rather not work in, but I can't honestly say I'm "a passionate Project Specialist" or "successful communications specialist".
I've been at the same company for 6 years, so not only am I out of practice selling myself from a resume standpoint, but have absolutely no idea how to go about applying for jobs in the US given that my location points to Canada, especially since I require a VISA (at the very least, a valid job offer) to work in the US.
Does anyone have any recommendations of how to clearly state my intention to relocate in the US on a resume, or any resources that may be useful to help me get my foot in the door? Just trying to figure out what options I have.
