I bought a house and the previous owner burned anything and everything in his wood stove for 20 years along with questionable maintenance.
We had a sweep come in to clean it and said he was able to get a 6" brush down it. Heavy creosote.
Repairable, useable, condemnable?

I’m freaking out and just need some kind of support. I have been a heavy drinker for over 10 years. Last January I was diagnosed with Fatty Liver. I stopped drinking for 30 days and ate really clean and my labs became normal. So stupid me thought I could drink in moderation again, however that turned into constant binge drinking. On December 30th I had a couple beers after drinking a ton before that, almost daily. I got the worst stomach pain and so I haven’t drank since. It’s been 21 days. Last week I went to the doctors and my liver enzymes are higher than when I got diagnosed with Fatty Liver. My stomach is still hurting pretty bad. It was all under my right rib but now it’s going back n forth from right to left. I’m also light headed off and on. I have an ultrasound on Thursday and I’m scared out of my mind that the damage is too severe to reverse. Thoughts?!

hi so me (m17) and my gf (f17) were driving home from a date today and we passed a billboard for a strip club which said they were auditioning. i pointed it out and laughed a bit thinking it was just a bit funny how that was on the interstate, and she was clearly more intrigued in the money it said you could earn each night. she said smth about it and i just jokingly brushed it off thinking it was a joke, but she was very serious. she then told me if her major next year in college didn’t work out, that she would plan on going into the sex worker industry. it made me quite visibly upset, but she seemed offended that i was uncomfortable with that. i then said ofc id be supportive bc i love her, but i felt that i couldnt express my real feelings on the topic. i just feel that a) if she just posts pics and makes an of or smth, even tho those are just photos, it would still devalue sex for me, as her body would be seen by potentially hundreds of thousands of other men and b) that if she becomes a strippeprostitute, then i would feel absolutely gutted every time she came home from her work. the feeling of having to share that side of her with so many other men is just an absolute nightmare to me. i guess my question is what do i do about this? do i even say anything and just drop it, hoping either her major works out or that her feelings change? i don’t want to do the wrong thing and lose her because i really do love her so much. thanks

So basically I(13M), have been bisexual for a little while now and have told my friends and some cousin, and they all were easy to come out to, but now my anxiety has started to rise up about coming out to my grandparents, parents, and younger sisters. I don’t know why but I just fear them being like disappointed about it, though they are very supportive of the LGBTQ community, or that they will have a long embarrassing talk about it, which is my least favorite thing IN THE WORLD! But now, it feels like there is a weight on my chest that I can’t get off, and I hate it. I do have some ideas, but I still need some advice.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently waiting for the final round of interviews (assessment center) for the SWE role at FDM Group in Toronto, Canada, and I’m trying to get some clarity about the training period. Specifically, is the training period remote, in-person, or hybrid in 2025?
I’m guessing that during COVID, the training was remote, but I’m curious about the current setup in 2025, specifically for the Toronto, Canada location. If anyone has recent experience with the training period for SWE at FDM Group, I’d greatly appreciate your insights.
Basically, I’m curious if someone happens to be in another country only during the training period, would that cause any issues, given that the actual placement would of course require being on-site?

Hi, I’ve never done this before so bear with me. I am a 16 year old girl with a 2 month old baby, my parents have been very supportive but I do not want my aunt to hold my baby. Some backstory: My parents are very close with their family and super family oriented. At the hospital while I was in labor my aunt showed up, after my parents and boyfriends parents came in the room, she came in for 5 seconds to say hi she did not come near me or the baby but it did put me off a bit because she barged in without being invited and we aren’t all that close. I was going to a restaurant with 2 of my other aunts, mom sister and boyfriend and she texted me this long paragraph about how she wanted to come, and then showed up. The whole time she was leaning over my sister’s food, and looking at the baby. She then asked to hold her, I said not right now she just ate and is sleeping, 20 minutes after that I was going to use the bathroom and my sister wanted to come with the baby, I said okay get her. My mom then chimed in and said why don’t you leave her here with us and ( aunt) can hold the baby. I said no, so we proceeded to go to the bathroom, and I had my sister walk back first. I exit the bathroom to see my sister almost running back at me and saying they are trying to pressure me into holding the baby. My sister is 13, and my boyfriend was in the bathroom so I saw that as trying to force the weakest( metaphor) one into saying yes. After that my mom mentioned it one more time i said no. My mom was short with me in the car. A couple weeks later, it was christmas eve and I was going to my other aunt’s house with my cousins( dad’s side) I get there and I hear that my aunt, we will call her lisa, is coming. My cousin who was there asked if lisa had ever hold the baby I said no, and she said okay she will hold her and we can take pictures. I avoided it and went to the room to feed her( breastfed) and i’m feeding her and Lisa barges in after i said stop im feeding the baby and my sister said stop too she goes no it’s fine im grabbing my coat. It was not fine with me but then I finished feeding her and my cousin kept chiming in about lisa holding the baby. I almost had an anxiety attack. I did manage to avoid it though. It was time to go, and we go home. She was supposed to come over on Christmas but didn’t thankfully. 3 weeks after that my sister had a birthday party, I was not excited. She shows up, im sitting on the couch with her in her wrap, she doesn’t say anything party’s going well until I bring my cousin into the room to hold the baby, she’s 7 and my older cousin comes in to take pictures, Lisa follows us down the hall and asks to hold the baby. I say not right now and she runs out of the house crying?? I did mention that we aren’t all that close so I really wasn’t understanding the big deal but it turned into a blowout fight with my mom, and everyone at the party wanted me to say sorry. I was not sorry, it was my child, my choice, but I wanted to keep the peace so I had my cousin right a message from me to lisa saying sorry. She left me on read. My other aunt texted me saying i’m so happy you said sorry to lisa, maybe you can invite her over tomorrow. I said school was starting( i had a leave for labor) and I couldn’t, she said maybe for dinner, I said i was going to my boyfriends. Then the next day she comes over to get her package, and she texts my sister to come out, and she rants about being too embarrassed to go inside. Honestly I would be embarrassed to as a grown woman doing all that but thats my perspective. For the record, a huge part of this is how she wicked smells like smoke and I just don’t feel comfortable and don’t see the need for her to hold my baby even if she showered( it still lingers anyway because she smokes so much) My parents are still pressuring me about it, and I try to avoid it as much as possible. I wouldn’t even be asking but my mom is “hurt” and thinks I shouldn’t be hurting other people’s feelings, and I should put mine aside. I don’t believe that because i’m her mom but I wan’t insight. Am I wrong?
Theres a bit more to the story, I tried to write as much as possible while keeping it as short as possible. I really am not close with her and can’t see why it’s such a big deal.
