I'm fully aware that people... do not like when their classics are changed. Just look at the reaction of hearing about the Rock'n'Roller Coaster being reworked into a Muppet ride. One big problem is how Muppet fans may not be tall enough to ride it. I've seen something similar with the Frozen ride at EPCOT ^^;
Splash Mountain being rebranded as Tiana's Bayou Adventure made some... waves :p , but the Mister Toad ride being rebranded as a Winnie the Pooh ride didn't bother people IIRC. Star Wars Star Tour was updated with the sequel trilogy after a long time. Dude, the generic droid pilot has been replaced by C-3PO, a familiar beloved character. The Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios was replaced by Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, and I liked it a lot. I think that it's the first ever ride featuring Mickey Mouse... in years :O
However, what about rides that could be updated, reworked or rebranded? What are your ideas?
This topic may start discord and discourses, but... things need updates over time, and maybe some people have good ideas... or are imagineers in disguise ;)

So basically today was my biology pratical The external teacher asked me 3 questions and I answered it all correctly with proper explanation one of the questions was what is saccharomyces cerevisiae made up of As in fungi, bacteria,virus etc... I answered fungi which was fucking correct But the girl beside me said yeast which is also correct cz yeast is fungi at the end of viva when the external told us to go I turned back and asked my biology teacher sitting next to the external that is saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast or fungi (absolutely fkin dumb question literally 9th grade) I don't know what I was thinking after asking the question I realized just with did I asked My biology teacher saw the external teacher and laughed at me saying "jao Hao ghar pe phadna" so I fucked it mujhe viva mein full milenge kya?

Hi
I’m planning to build a miniITX for the living room and have most of the parts ready and just waiting now on the 50 benchmarks to see if I snag one or stick with 40’s.
I currently run a 3090 on my own PC which is due for an update and I was just going to transfer my 3090 to the Living Room PC so I can use the 40/50 on my main PC.
However I realised that none of the new GPU’s have USB-C anymore and although the board that I purchased has rear and front 3.2 it doesn’t really display using GPU.
I currently have a 2080Ti which has a USB-C being ran on the living room for VR which is what I’m building the replacement for and would really like to keep that same functionality.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to get modern GPU’s to display via USB-C? I tried looking and saw something about Walcom something but they don’t exist anymore.

2025.01.21 09:50 drjrrjrd I have a swim gala in 2 days but I havent trained in 2 years
Guys I really need your help. Basically I used to do competitive swimming at quite a good level, training 8 hours a week etc. Then I moved to the UK and I havent found a coach or did any training for 2 years. Unfortunately my school had decided to enter me in a swim gala using my times from me at my peak. The other kids swimming with me are all county swimmers.(for US ppl I think it's similar to state level) and I am really scared of letting down my team and embarrassing myself. If anyone has any tips or advice please tell me. Also I am only doing freestyle/ front crawl
