Hi folks,
I'm looking for some advice on what to about my Grandmother and POA.
For context, my grandmother is 92 years old, with late stage dementia in a care home.
My Dad recently died and he was her POA. Another POA was not assigned in the event of his death.
My Dad got embroiled in legal battles regarding paying for her care and went to court over this. We didn't know this was happening.
He spent a lot of her money and I believe what remains now is her only asset, which is a 2 bed flat in a retirement community.
I'm now arguing with my sister over next steps. She thinks we shouldn't go through the legal effort of becoming power of attorney. She says she will die and in her will we will become owners of the flat and then can sell it to settle the debts.
I'm concerned about the implications of not going through that process and what that means.
What happens if nobody is assigned power of attorney?
What are the odds of others being able to seize her asset?
Can anybody advise me on the best way forward here?

I (19m) haven't had any official IQ tests, I'm in college, about to start my next semester in two days, and I genuinely believe that I have an IQ between 80 - 85 and wont make it through college.
Throughout elementary school I was always behind, so much so that I had to get shipped off to a private catholic school in 3rd grade due to nearly failing every grade. I was later transferred back to my original school in the middle of 4th grade due to outbursts and temper tantrums, and then once again nearly failed 4th and 5th grade. My 5th grade teacher once got so fed up by my stupidity that she ended up throwing books at my head, and told me that I'd see her next year because I wasn't going to pass the standardized test required to go to middle school. I ended up barely passing and moved on to middle school even though I couldn't comprehend how to do simple multiplication and division.
I ended up coasting by with help from friends on nearly every assignment, since I simply couldn't understand the material that was being taught in any of my classes. Once 7th grade rolled around, I developed an interest in computer science and programming, and the very very basics came pretty naturally since I'd been on a computer for the majority of my life.
The summer after 8th grade, however, I'd realized that I wasn't all that smart, or even average for that matter. I got my two friends into programming during the summer, and by freshman year they had flourished. They both already had finished portfolios of projects that I couldn't even imagine myself creating, and I was still on the very basics. By the time I learned what a for loop was (after 2 1/2 years), they were already proficient in 3 different languages and got to skip the intro comp sci classes offered at our school, and I wasn't even eligible to take those intro classes since I was in on-level math. I felt ashamed and stupid.
Because of that shame, I ended up becoming incredibly reserved in fear of being outed as an idiot. I ended up throwing on a mask and lying about projects I had been "working on" and just nodding my head throughout every conversation, acting like I knew what they were talking about, but in reality I didn't. At all. And that's not just in terms of computer science, it was about nearly everything. Even simple mundane tasks and life skills that I should've learned, I just didn't. Nor did I understand them. For the rest of high school I became increasingly more cynical and developed a hatred for computer science, and now for computers and technology in general, but that's besides the point.
I had graduated high school with nearly all C's, and am now in community college. Every single day is just a new unbearable challenge. I'm now just stuck in a loop of desperately trying to understand concepts that everyone seemingly gets in an instant. I still can barely even do double digit addition mentally and whenever people are talking I just get so unbelievably lost. I ended up telling my parents a bit about how I was feeling, and they ended up getting me a job where I'd pretty much just wash and fold blankets and towels for 6 hours once a week. They thought it'd boost my confidence and help with my terrible social skills since I'd also be around a lot of people. Well I ended up getting "soft fired" because of my inability to efficiently wash and fold laundry... and I didn't even talk to anyone there.
I just feel worthless, and I feel like my friends are starting to pick up on my lack of intelligence. Not only that, but I nothing even interests me in life. Nothing at all. I'm not curious about anything, not even other people. I just feel completely hollow. I don't even know if I've ever felt love before, even when it comes to my family and friends. I can't even empathize with people most the time unless something extreme happens to them, and I feel like I'm becoming a monster that's simply incapable of empathy.
And I know what a lot of you are gonna say, "get tested for adhd" and yea I did and I don't have adhd.
I just don't know what to do, and I don't have any redeeming qualities to make up for my low iq anyways. I'm short, I have a receding hairline at 19, my package is small, and I have absolutely no social skills whatsoever. I don't know what to do. And yes I have a therapist and I'm on antidepressants that do absolutely nothing, and yes I've tried nearly all of them and waited 2 months to see if I felt any better.

 | Gf got me a pair but just guessed the size. I got my ears pierced like 4 years ago and didnt have anything in for the last couple of months. These hurt and took a while to get through the holes so i think that may have caused some swelling and made it look worse but are these too tight? Is there meant to be some play? How do i tell if these are too tight? Will they swell more or go red? They hurt a little tiny bit now but i feel like that was just the process of putting them in.
