My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 months now, and heās literally the cutest. Even though heās 2 years younger than me, he treats me with so much care and thoughtfulness, like a true gentleman š.
When we first started talking online, I found out later that he had already asked about me from others; something I had no clue about at the time. We actually went to the same high school, but I eventually had to transfer and didnāt know who he was until we started chatting. As we got to know each other, I realized he knew so much more about me than I did about him. Heās so observant and incredibly attentive.
After weeks of talking online, we finally met in person. And guess what? He brought me a bouquet of my favorite flowers- Babyās Breath š. I remember casually mentioning my favorite flower, but I never thought heād actually remember or bring them. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that completely melted my heart.
After about a month of getting to know each other, we officially started dating. One thing I absolutely love about him is how he remembers even the smallest, silliest things I say. Before my birthday, I noticed he was going on and off his texts and wasnāt replying as regularly. I was confused but didnāt want to ask what was going on. Eventually, he told me he was busy working on something really important. When I asked what it was, he just said, āYouāll find out soon.ā
As the days went by, I joked with him, saying, āAre you building Noahās ark or something?ā He laughed and replied, āMaybe.ā
On my birthday, we had planned to spend the day together, but unfortunately, my friends took me out unexpectedly. By the time I was heading home, it was really late. He called and asked if he could pick me up halfway, and I said yes. When I got out of my friend's car, I saw him waiting for me by his bike. He smiled as I walked toward him, and the moment I reached him, he pulled me into a kiss and wished me a happy birthday.
Then came the surpriseāa handmade bouquet of DIY white roses šš. It was the most thoughtful thing anyone had ever done for me. I was so moved I almost cried right there. He also gave me a handwritten letter, which made the moment even more special. We didnāt get to spend much time together since it was late, but we kissed goodnight, and I went home with the biggest smile on my face.
Wh en I got home, I noticed the bouquet smelled just like him, and I couldnāt stop smiling while reading his letter. But then I found a small piece of paper tucked inside the roses. When I unfolded it, it said, āHahaha Noahās ark.ā ššš
Yāall, heās just so cute and thoughtful. I feel so lucky to have him in my life.

After looking into it can see that the texture layer over the card is actually the full art Toxicroak from the same set. Picture 1&2 shows the Toxicroak arm in the top left. My ex left me almost a year ago after a relationship that lasted nearly five years, including four years of living together. I had more or less promised myself that I would love her forever. A few weeks after our breakup, I met another woman. We started dating, and she has been living with me for about six months now.
During this time, I maintained several long periods of no contact with my ex, lasting up to three months, and I havenāt seen her for nearly a year. However, I will see her soon to return some belongings she left at my place.
My problem is that I can't seem to forget my previous relationship. I've never loved anyone as intensely or passionately as I loved my ex. I was completely captivated by her. Her body, her scentāeverything about her brought me peace. Just holding her in my arms and feeling her presence gave me an unmatched sense of fulfillment; it was literally the best feeling in the world.
I care about my current girlfriend, but the intensity of my feelings and attraction to her is perhaps only 1/10 of what I felt for my ex. Hugs with her donāt bring me the same sense of fulfillment. I try to keep our relationship alive by doing lots of activities together, but I feel like thereās no magic.
I don't know if my lingering feelings for my ex are affecting my current relationship, or if I should simply leave my girlfriend because something is fundamentally wrong.
To add to this, life with my current girlfriend is quite difficult. In all my past relationships, Iāve never had to sleep in separate rooms except after major arguments. But for the past three months, itās become a routine. She started having trouble sleeping right after she moved in permanently (despite having slept at my place without issues for three months prior), and since then, she has become completely insomniac. She went on medical leave and has fallen into depression because she no longer likes her job and doesnāt want to go back.
For several months now, Iāve been living with someone who wakes up exhausted at 2 PM. During our Christmas vacation at her parentsā house, I was literally stuck there with nothing to do, just waiting for her to wake up each day.
I donāt understand why she doesnāt look for another job, considering I pay for all the groceries and rent. She spends her days at home, and when I come back after work, I have to do the laundry, clean the house, and prepare her meals.
I donāt know if Iām a bad person for being unsympathetic to her situation, or if thereās something else going on here. Many nights, I find myself thinking about my previous relationship and how much I miss it.

This post is for all the men out there including the one I'm currently chatting with regarding being raped and the guilt that so many of us deal with from the assault. Long after the physical pain and mental anguish began to fade, the guilt stuck around. I like many here didn't put up a fight. I just did what they told me to do as I was severely overpowered and just wanted to be alive when it was over. After the first man watched his friend finish in me they swapped places so I could be humiliated again as I was watched once more. After I had satisfied the second man they had me take care of myself as they both watched me. I've since found that this is a common tactic used by rapists against their victims. . I didn't want to be assaulted or shamed by the two strangers. I never asked for it and I wasn't doing anything that would make anyone think it was something I desired. When it all began I kept asking for it to stop which they ignored and several times during it all, demanded that I beg for it. I didn't say a word until things started to become violent. Then I began asking them to rape me. . I can't speak for anyone here but myself. Other than the physical enjoyment both my rapists received, they were very much playing a psychological game that they enjoyed as much, if not more than the sex. Again, I've found this to be a common tactic used to simply break you so they can feel both mentally and physically superior. . Only you know how badly you 'didn't' want to be raped. You did what you felt you needed to do at the time to ensure your safety. I'm no therapist but I have found that talking about it has helped me immensely and that there are many here willing to lend an ear so to speak. I wish I had a map for everyone in pain as to how to leave the hell hole you might be in but I don't. I have found that writing about it here and speaking to any empathetic individual willing to listen has been a huge help. . Peace and fight the good fight

I save as much as I can and although I'm not good at investing, I do as much research as possible, and I think I'll be able to have some retirement money and hopefully buy a small place to live as long as I keep working. I have been struggling throughout the years, I don't have any support, I'm on my own and it has been very hard for me.
My bf currently has an average paying job, but since he's already 46 I don't know how long he'll be able to keep the job. If he is forced to change jobs, he will probably get a low paying job because his job skills aren't desirable and because of his age. About his financial situation, his savings is only about $20,000 USD, he has no house, and he doesn't have any investments. I'm really shocked because he's already in his forties and this is all he has. He doesn't understand anything about personal finance and seems to struggle with saving money.
He keeps saying that he'll take care of me and don't worry. But he hasn't given me any concrete plans on how he will change and I feel it will still be like this a few years later. I'm worried if we really plan to be together, all the financial burden will be on me eventually because I'm younger and it's obvious I have more potential to earn money and save. I worry about our retirement money, buying a house, and how we gonna have kids, but he keeps saying that eventually weāll figure it out.
TL;DR I love my bf very much but his financial situation is really bad. We both don't have much but it feels like I might be the breadwinner in the future if we stay together. Not in love with the existing glass block look but it matches the home age overall, contractor has suggested we can... 1) replace grout and clean up 2) remove the vent, add 4 blocks where vent used to be, bring the height up on set of blocks and tile above and regrout 3) remove all the blocks and place vinyl frosted window 4) cover up completely and tile over(no window or natural light in main bathroom) Our discussion has centered on insulation, longevity expectations, appearance, etc. either way we will at least remove the vent. Planning to add subway tiles and dark grout around the rest of the tub. Any preference for the ideas? 1) costs the least and 3) costs the most We are going to be retiling with white subway tile to the ceiling as it currently is and darker grout in the shower, new fixtures and a new updated ceiling fan.
