I remember siting at my desk when you walked into my room after helping out in the kitchen(like you always do;-) right around thanksgiving With that amazing smile you used to look at me with that made me feel so good about being the one you called your boyfriend. When you asked me if I wanted some pumpkin pie? As I'm siting at my desk upset because we had not been intimate for days. Islamophobia on rise in North East
As Muslims, we are taught to stand for justice and have compassion for everyone... No matter their religion or background. This whole thing with Bdeshis refugees isnāt just some political drama.. itās a test from Allah for us. Allah says in the Qurāan:
"And they feed, for the love of Allah, the poor, the orphan, and the captive, saying, āWe feed you for the sake of Allah alone; we seek neither reward nor thanks from you.ā" (Surah Al-Insan 76:8-9)
If Bangladesh is in trouble and people are coming here for safety, isnāt it our duty to help them? Why is it okay to take in Bangladeshi Hindus but not Bangladeshi Muslims? What kind of logic is that? India is not a Hindu nation; itās supposed to be secular. Everyone should have equal rights, no matter who they are.
But the saddest part? Nobodyās even talking about this! Why is everyone here in this sub arguing about random stuff, like what Indian Muslims should give up, instead of focusing on real issues? Itās like people just donāt care. We need to stop fighting among ourselves and be united. All this hate and division only makes us weaker.
And for those spreading hate, fear Allah. Seriously, think about what youāre doing. The Prophet ļ·ŗ said:
"None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself."
Yes, weāre all human, and we mess up. But this level of hate is just too much. Please, letās wake up, have some compassion, and do whatās right. May Allah guide us all and help us fix our mistakes before itās too late.

got my ipad air 5 a year ago, and slowly started getting fed up with my school-issued probook and how slow it has gotten. i've been working a ton so i didn't even have to hit my savings to buy this- honestly the best 2279ā¬ i couldve spent!!
this lovely little 2024 14 inch pro 24/512gb with the m4 pro chip came a few weeks ago and i'm absolutely in love with it!!! i love how easily it connects to my phone hotspot, the touchpad is soo intuitive and easy& quiet to use- plus it's super intuitive to find special letters that i often need like Ć¼ or Ć or the long ā!!
it might feel a little overkill like this thing is a damn productivity beast, i don't think i've heard a fan yet, but oh my it's so lovely for photoshop and lightroom and adobe apps in general- the smoothness ā¤ļøā¤ļø i thought i'd have trouble with calculator programs for school but turned out they were easier to install on the mac than on my school-issued probook... only downside is that i can't use our virtual exam OS with this thing as it's not compatible with the ARM processors :( but overall i'm sooo happy and really hope this lasts me long bcz the setup is really such a productivity beast
(oh and the copy on laptop paste on phone... makes me almost cry tbf)

my mom moved away from my hometown 2 years ago. She has no friends (absolutely ZERO, she never leaves the house) and doesnāt know anyone here. i (19f) moved in with her when I turned 18.
For about a year, I had no friends whatsoever, because my mom didnāt, so I felt odd about meeting new people. She also made me scared about meeting new people in my area because her and her baby daddy are VERY paranoid and constantly think somebody is threatening their home.
They have a ton of guns and cameras because of that. My routine was always go to work, then come home. Recently I started hanging out with people my age and making new friends. I notice my mom has been acting differently towards me. A few times out of the week I will come home late or even the next morning and Iāll get snide comments from her.
Last night I went out with my friend for like 5 hours to go thrift and get sushi and came home at 10:30. I had a monster energy so I was up all night watching netflix trying to sleep. Like 20 minutes ago, she comes in my room asking why Iāve been up all night. I was confused why she cared, so I said Iām fine.
She said, āWell clearly youāre doing something different, and itās not going to work for me.ā. I was confused and ask what she meant and she laughed and said you know what I mean and that she doesnāt trust me in her house. So basically thatās her way of saying she thinks Iām doing drugs because Iām going out more. Iām extremely offended because I literally have never exhibited any behavior that would lead her to that decision besides not being home all the time anymore and staying up this one night.
We live in a pretty dangerous county and I understand why she may be concerned. But even before I would go out she would threaten to remove me from her house over petty things, like my āattitudeā (which is usually just me mirroring her own attitude) or when I first moved here and didnāt have a car and would ask her for a ride to work which is literally 3 minutes down the road. She would also often complain about how Iām an adult and I need to grow up but Iām the only person in the house with a life.
I pay my share of rent, I am the only working person in the house while everyone else is on social security, and I have my own car so I never ask her for anything besides a roof over my head. I find it rude and intrusive that sheās assuming things without talking to me first. I still have maybe 2 friends I hang out with 3-4 times a week and iām still home most of the time, i just leave overnight sometimes but i always tell her when. She locks me out of the house when I leave, though. I donāt know what to do anymore and I could use some advice.

Guys please send sleep.... I am so exhausted.
My miniature pinscher is 5 months now and it's freeeeeezing outside (-13Ā°F today). I can't take him for walks and have to do lots of training and playing inside my 2 bed apartment. But I get home from work and I'm exhausted and don't want to play or train, but I manage to chug along till 9:30am till I take him to bed with me.
Then I can only sleep until 6pm when I realistically NEED to sleep until 8pm, so that he can get some energy out and more mental games and dinner time until I lay back down for a 3hr nap at 8pm.
I think it would be a whole lot easier if it was warm so then I could take a morning walk with him and let him have his sniffies to tire him out. I'm going to start ripping my hair out if I can't get 9-10hrs of sleep like my body needs š

"Our records show that you have previously resided at 'Address removed' and had a Loka Energy account for the supply of heating and hot water during your time at the property. The balance outstanding totals Ā£73.26 and requires settlement. Please be advised that your account will be unable to fully close until the above balance has been settled."
I basically said to them that they can't just invoice someone 4-5 years later with no prior communication / no additional details... I logged into the system, and there is no additional details, other than you owe this .... Any recommendations ?
