I once got way too drunk the morning before school and ended up blacking out during class. I woke up to everyone staring at me, drooling on my desk. My teacher asked if I needed to go to the nurse, but I just said, “I’m fine,” and tried to act normal. I end up going to the bathroom but can’t walk straight so my ex’s friend has to walk to the door of the bathroom. Then in the bathroom I’m found having to explain to the principle that I threw up because I had spoiled milk, I don’t think they believed me.

Hi! Longtime lurker. First time poster on this sub.
My wife (30W) and I (31M) have our second anniversary coming up and we're looking for a great spot. Last year we went to Nobu Malibu and had a phenomenal time thanks to me winning our fantasy football league last year and having a little extra cash to spend. As fate would have it, my wife won the league this year so we're looking to ball out a little bit again.
Where should we go? We're both foodies with varied palates so we're kind of game for anything, any neighborhood. Wife's favorite foods are Japanese, Thai, Creole. Mine are Italian, Chinese, New American, and Mediterranean. We also both love a good diner.

Very classic build. Tayda sent me resistors of a different value than the label :O I realized after burning 8 LEDs and then I measured with the multimeter.
What I like to do is to use minimal soldering rosin and time. I put paste first, then solder and when is all ready I refloat anything that does not look shiny.
I wear gloves because with my arthritis the grip is a problem. The gloves help me to hold things better and I also use a helping hand tool with a magnifying glass.
This build will feature a germanium transistor.

Working on a Bulla 46, it's been cleaned, reassembled, oiled, and all seems to be running great other than it is running 280+ seconds fast. I've demagnatzed it, that helped a little, the hairspring seems fine, not hung up or bent at all. The amplitude is kind of low, would replacing the mainspring help... or any other suggestions?

Front Arm Bushings Since moving house to a new area, I’ve had to find a new mechanic and I’ve taken the car in for a service and he’s done a health check over the car in addition to it.
I’ve been told that I need both lower front arm bushings replaced asap as they’re at their end of life but I had a read into it and there are no clunking noises, uneven tyre wear, vibrations or even anything that seems off when undertaking harsh corners. Is it something I need replaced or is the mechanic just trying to drum up a big repair bill that isn’t necessary?

From left to right:
Jasoor - I already knew I liked Coral Fantasy, and this is an excellent clone of it. I can tell it needs to mature in the dark for a month or two though, its batch 12/24 and is not as developed as the original (yet)
Sculpture - I just threw this in the cart to get free shipping. For how cheap it was it smells great actually, but its dominant note is orange blossom and its highly feminine. Surprised this is marketed towards men and not unisex.
Odyssey Homme Black - Wow, this is a great winter scent that is just warm and cozy with mass appeal. The amber and vanilla combo is gentle and not cloying at all. I can tell this will level up BIG TIME after a month or two in the dark.
Odyssey Limoni - When I smelled this one, I decided to eventually collect the entire Odyssey line. Limoni is another home run and will be my #1 summer frag once it gets hotter. Its like eating a lemon creamsicle on the beach. Its somehow decadent but not a gourmand. Its somehow fresh and marine, but definitely not a blue frag. If you like citrus based scents this might easily slide into your top 5 of all time. I cant wait to see how it matures when summer arrives.
That marks 4 out of 4 Odyssey frags blowing me away for the price (these two, Aqua, Mandarin Sky) all of them blind buys. So far its the most consistently quality clone line I have come across.

2025.01.22 00:59 Latter-Commission417 Ventilation system to prevent smoke infiltration into my apartment?

I live in a top floor apartment and the neighbour below me is a heavy smoker. The smoke somehow gets into my apartment through the building structure… when they light up it smells like they are smoking right next to me in my bedroom. I cannot work out exactly how it is getting in… I have blocked the gaps I can find but it hasn’t helped at all. It also also comes in from the outside through my doors and windows so I basically have no source of fresh/clean air available to me. Body corp has been ineffective. So I am looking into what I can do in my apartment to stop the smoke infiltration. I think getting professionals in to caulk and seal everything would be a good first step. I am also interested in installing a ventilation system, but I’m not sure which system would be best for my situation. I am thinking possibly a positive pressure system that would draw filtered air from outside that would hopefully push the smoky air out. The roof is flat tin so I don’t think there is any roof cavity. It’s an older building (70s or 90s). Any advice would be much appreciated!

2025.01.22 00:59 812097631 Lg sensor dry te1 error

My lg dryer is throwin a te 1 code. I have replaced the thermostat and the thermistor and it continues to throw the code. It stopped working around christmas, replaced parts it worked for about a week then threw the code again. Dryer will start and run for about 20 seconds then it shuts itself off and flashes the code. My gut tells me I didn’t just happen to replace with a bad thermistor and thermostat but something happening on the control board side of things? Any suggestions on what I should check would be greatly appreciated. Dryer is about 5 years old so warranty is over and lg would send a tech out for $400… at that price I feel it is better to just buy a new dryer and get a new warranty

If you haven't seen by now, after the latest update, 3.0.30hf, the talent tree has been hard stuck on level 4 at 50% completion. I did some testing with the give experience/set experience commands and noticed once you try to get to level 5, the game will complete half of level 4 and not progress pass this. Not sure when this will be fixed. I just wanted to point it out incase anyone else has noticed this issue.
