I got a letter in the mail today saying I owe 22 dollars and some change from “I-66 Express Mobility Partners” when I’ve never been on a toll road. A couple people said that it could be some sort of scam but I’m not completely sure since the number I called seemed legit and they have a pic of my license plate on the paper. I avoid 66 like my life depends on it and I would think that I would know if I was on a toll road 😭😭 and the time of the offense wouldn’t have matched up bc I would’ve been going from work to my boyfriends house (which is 15 min down the road in residential areas, nowhere near 66) IF I was driving at the time. I’m not completely sure what to do if anyone has any advice. 🙏

Hello, I am using react + redux. I will post the code below, In my app I have a button in my header to create a note which opens a modal to let the user input a title and some tags. I have validation in the backend that checks whether or not a tag has over 20 characters. If i cause it to fail it will keep the modal open and display the error.
When I was expanding out my app, I added an edit button to a card in a component different to the header, it called the same modal as the create note but I passed it a prop that told it it was for editing. The I had some logic that called the edit endpoint based on whether they were editing and not the create endpoint. I then tried it and tried to put a tag over 20 characters but the modal closed, the error was set. My Notification component which displays the error has a timeout of 5 seconds, so when the modal closes i, if i open the modal again, i can see the error message. but in the case of the create note button, i got the error message straight away.
so i scrapped adding the edit note and just tried testing creating a note from the edit button. so im using the same modal, but one is being called from the header and one is being called from the edit button in my note card. The header obv gave me the error with a invalid tag and kept the modal open, but when i clicked the edit button it closed the modal straight away. Bear in mind its the same modal, the exact same component as well. so i tried to check in the frontend whether or not a tag is invalid, and the error showeed up for both and both kept the modal open. But my question is how did it now keep the modal open when i clicked the edit button even though they are both using the same redux thunk.
I will paste the code now, I wont paste the updated modal that includes the edit logic as even without it, it still closes the modal if i just have the create logic inside the modal.
