In "We met Thursday afternoon", "Thursday afternoon" is technically a direct object (or where a direct object would go. Think about "We met Jim at 5 pm.") That being said most speakers will understand what you mean by "We met Thursday afternoon." Regardless, "We met on Thursday afternoon" is the best choice. "This week I do sports on Thursday" - same meaning as above, and applies for a single activity. It would be more formal and technically more correct to say: "I do one sport on Thursdays" - this leaves it rather vague as to whether you do different sports each Thursday or the same one; but it is acceptable to do that, you are not obligated to be ... "Thursday night" is still a noun. Nouns can't explain the actions of verbs, but adverbs can. What you need to make it an adverb is to add the preposition "on". I stayed at home. When? On Thursday night. You can't normally answer that question with just "Thursday night". So I'd assume it to be grammatically incorrect. The most obvious ones are Sunday and Monday, from the Sun and the Moon. Saturday is from Saturn. Thursday is named after Thor (Yes, the god in those superhero movies!) Here is the complete list: Sunday (Sun), Monday (Moon), Tuesday (Mars), Wednesday (Mercury), Thursday (Jupiter), Friday (Venus), Saturday (Saturn). – 1 I'm free Thursday. 2 I'm free on Thursday. I thought if you want to say that something happens during a particular day, you should use on, as in 'They’ll be here on Tuesday.' But I came across the title sentence without on, and now I don't know exactly when to use on before a specific day and when not to! This makes it so that using "Thursday" and "September 24th" in the same phrase, separated by a comma, work well and not sound slightly redundant or awkward in the least. To conclude, here are two example sentences that I recommend using: I sent out your order on Thursday, September 24th. I sent out your order last Thursday, which was September ... It depends on the scenario. For example, if you always have class on Thursday. It would mean to have it done by class on Thursday. Whereas if you are taking an internet class that doesn't have set time frames, it would mean to have it done by 11:59PM Thursday night. – Alternatively, if today is Thursday and I say "next Monday", does this mean the "Monday in 4 days" or the "Monday in a week and 4 days"? Similarly, using "this Monday" and "next Monday" have always been confusing to me as to which Monday it is depending on what day it currently is. No, maybe it's inconsistent, but that's not what people say. Yes, "last week" normally means the previous calendar week, while "the last week" means the preceding seven days. She usually works at home on a Thursday. This means she generally chooses to work from home on Thursdays, but she's allowed some flexibility. (Next week, for example, she might decide to work from home on Wednesdays instead.) As I read the bolded sentence in that example, my mind focuses on the phrase on a Thursday. Let's reframe the sentence ...

So, since the (second) start of InSpecter: Deceased Detective, I've been using a Samson G-Track Pro, and really enjoyed it, but I just moved, and evidently didn't pack it well enough, because I'm recording some small pick up tracks and it sounds almost as bad as my laptop's built in mic (I made sure it wasn't recording from that). So my assumption is that my microphone didn't survive the move, and now I'm looking for some USB microphone recommendations

I’m applying to Bocconi University, and I could use some advice. My stats are: • SAT: 1360 • GPA: 9.62 and 9.76 • Program preferences: BEMACC, BIEM, BESS
I also took the Bocconi test but only scored 25/50. Since you can submit multiple test scores, I’m debating whether to include both my SAT and Bocconi test scores. My thought was that submitting both might show my effort, but I’m also worried the low Bocconi score could hurt my application, even with a decent SAT score.
What do you think? Should I submit both or just stick to the SAT? Would love to hear your opinions!

My 2022 zephyrus g14 has screen burn in when using for more than a couple hours. Warranty is no longer active.
Would the only solution be to replace the display? I saw the price on Amazon for a replacement screen to be $130. Not sure how hard it is to do and how much would a professional shop charge for labor.
Also does buying the oem screen vs aftermarket matter? This model had notorious issues with screen burn in.

I’ve been lurking for awhile now. I’m a big Wheel of Time and Cosmere fan but I also enjoy to read romantasy from time to time.
I read ACoTaR and ACoMaF but it didn’t stick with me and frankly don’t like the writing very much. Didn’t last very long on fourth wind either.
Are there any more “mature” books to recommend. Non-teen main characters and an epic fantasy setting?
I’m good with big books, size doesn’t matter to me 😂

Im looking for a steel bed cap, similar to the Overland Vehicle Systems. I have found that Super Pacific makes one for the Frontier but only has a variant with a camper on top. I've done my best research but it seems like the only options are only soft tops or fiberglass. I really like the option to be able to have the molle panels on the side panels and would like something similar.
