Hi all,
We are going on our first cruise (Sunrise) next month! Coming along is our 19-month-old toddler and I have a few questions:

  1. Wondering how I should dress her up indoors on the ship, is it usually cold from the AC or regular summer clothes are fine?
  2. She likes warm milk/tea before bed and when she wakes up. I understand there are no microwaves or fridges in our room, what would be the solutions for this in terms of getting the milk in her bottle and warming it up?
  3. We have an oceanview room, is the curtain blacked out enough in your experience?

2025.01.22 01:05 OldDoliolio 3 weeks, first time Japan, first time solo. Looking for non Tokyo, healing focused advice. May 2025

Hi, 32yr old American woman with travel experience outside of the west (Turkey and Thailand) but always with friends. My work is giving me a month off and I want to go back to Asia and kind of reset where Im at with my life. Stress and excessive partying are really hurting my body and mind. My initial idea was a wellness retreat in Indonesia or Thailand, but I kind of want to go to Japan instead. I really need this trip so I have large budget saved up for this.
I will do Tokyo at the end of the trip but no idea where to start other than that. Im leaning towards Kyoto and and the surrounding area over Osaka because I heard its more naturey. Im not super outgoing when Im alone so I kind of want to spend a lot of my time relaxing, self reflecting, and exploring over drinking and partying.
Is the Kyoto region a good choice or should I look somewhere else? Are there any onsen focused towns/resorts I can lose myself in for multiple days of relaxing? Outside of spa tourism, any healthy or peaceful activities that are musts? Is May early enough in the summer for it to not be oppressively hot? Is traveling alone awkward if you're not social? Any thoughts about carving off one of my weeks to add on an additional country like Taiwan?
I hope Im not coming off all eat pray love on this, I just want to make the most of my time off and am trying to be realistic with what I think I need
TLDR: Need a reset in my life but also a Japan trip. Need restorative suggestions

I'm looking for a self hosted mega alternative for my seedbox. I'm looking for an app that lets me generate direct download links for files / folders, preferably with password protection and expiration times.
Right now my solution is an SFTP server with users for groups of files I want to share, however this scales incredibly badly as I have to chmod the users and then use bind mounts into their home directory to the files they're allowed to see.
Any pointers to good docker images that accomplish this?

I got blocked by a toy collector As the title says, i got blocked by a toy collector for calling them out (sort of). They were complaining under a cleosnilee (on instagram) post about Operetta having an ugly face and it looking like her "g2" face. I said in response, "you absolute goofball it literally does not 💀💀💀 she looks like her g1 doll." The creator is @mr.guyllector on insta. Does anyone know if he has a history of blocking for silly things? I have quite literally never heard/interacted with this creator so I know for a fact it was because I responded to them.

Hi,
Currently I have 2 Q-Acoustics 3020i, I enjoy them a lot, watching movies and listen to music. They are on a closet next to my TV. I have 3090i center and Q-Acoustics sub.
I am looking for an upgrade, can get good deal for 3030C. I hope to get a bit more bass and fuller sound when I play them in pure mode. But they are sligtly more deep in size, it brings distance from speaker to wall arround 3CM/1.2inches. So this is not a lot. I can put foam plugs in back port, will this give good sound? Or will this be a problem?
My current 3020i are arround 10CM/3.9inches from wall, without foam inserted.
Can someone give some advice if this will be good idea or should I do something else?
