Hey guys, really need some help. Just had an incredibly frustrating experience with the Adobe support chat to no avail.
I am trying to discover the usage laws about sharing a vector file (that was purchased as an EXTENDED LICENSE) but was changed considerably so it is no longer “stand alone”. Can this working files image then be shared on a website for others to download as a vector in the public domain?
Example being - I use a world map vector that I licensed, and zoom in on a tiny fraction of it, delete portions, add new design elements and overlays. Is this fair use? The only line Adobe offers is that it cannot be distributed as a “stand alone file” but that would not be the case since it is edited heavily.

So, I've been struggling a lot with lust for quite a bit and it started to stress me out terribly, like I really want to stop doing stuff related to it like watching porn and maturbating, but I need some clarity on the subject, after reading a bit about the sources on the bible, there really isn't anything on it that specifically warna us about masturbation, with porn I get that it goes into many passages as being a way of being unloyal to your spouse. And the only passage ive been using for stuff that isn't really told in the bible (I'm referring as thinking if something is sinful or not) is Mathew 8:9 9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

Hello! I’ve recently inherited several collections from my father. He was a huge collector of books, particularly historical series. 99% of these books look like they’ve been opened once or twice and are in great condition. When I search these books online, they’re typically selling between $15 and $20. If I have thousands of them, is it better to sell on Amazon in order to take advantage of FBA? Or will shipping to the fulfillment center and storage/shipping fees drastically shrink my profit? Because there’s so many books if I opted to store and ship myself, I would need to invest in a storage unit to hold all of the inventory. For those who have been in this industry for a while, what would you choose to do?

It all happens unconciously and I need advice because I don't want it.
Seeing a person with a nice external character? Adapting it. Being friends with an autistic person? Suddenly having the same speech difficulties and stims. Leaning I have minimal autistic traits? Suddenly experiencing overstimulation and weird way of existing and thinking. Hearing about a person with ADHD? Suddenly losing the ability to make plans and having chaos that makes anything impossible. Leaning I may have narcisstic traits? Suddenly losing feelings of empathy or care and showing manipulative thinking. Having a dog over for a longer time? Suddenly identifying with the way a dog would feel when approaching a person. Babysitting a 10 year old boy for a week? Suddenly showing the same movement patterns, feeling hyperactive and having childish thinking.
I don't know why this happenes, it happens automatically and if it happens the negative new traits usually ruin my life and it's difficult or impossible to get rid of them. At this point I don't know if I have any own self that actually belongs to me.

For some steam games I get audio cracking. This can be remedied by increasing pipewire's quantum parameter (it's buffer?). I can change this for my whole session with pw-metadata -n settings 0 clock.min-quantum 512.
However, looking through the docs, I have the impression that I should be able to set this for specific applications with, launching a game within steam for example, PIPEWIRE_QUANTUM="512/48000" %command%. Unfortunately this doesn't work.
Is this a quirk of Pop_OS!, or am I missing something with these application specific ENV variables? Has anyone had luck setting pipewires parameters with ENV variables?

I have created a custom space tabletop RPG, called "War Cosmos" where the goal is to take down different enemies such as bad dudes, evil bots, and evil women. you accomplish this by using space blasters, which are powerful science fiction weapons, such as pocket pulse blasters, carnage mx11s, and LM2 laser rifles. the setting is in sector 34, a solar system moderately far from Earth, in a far future universe where nuclear fusion is ubiquitous, and people fly spaceplanes from 1 planet to another. there are 6 classes to choose from, assault class, specialist class, drone agent class, army medic class, infantry class, and jetpack guy class. another feature is the aircraft system: you can fly an enormous amount of aircraft, from VTOLs to interceptor jets and Guardian 2 stealth choppers constructed by Nexus Corporation.

2025.01.22 01:15 EstroJen What can I do with a bachelor's in criminal justice, a love of horticulture, creativity, and don't want to work in law enforcement anymore?
I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and I've been a police evidence technician (non sworn) for 16 years now. I work in California. I do my best to make sure the people I deal with (mostly homeless and drug addicts) are treated kindly. I am very proud of my rapport with the homeless ave in really good at calming upset mentally ill people down.
I have calpers and a defered comp account, but I'm not to my "official" age of retirement (I am 43).
My main gripe is dealing with cops. Some can be very arrogant and frankly the more I work with them, the less I like them.
What i need advice on: i really want to stay on calpers until my retirement age comes. So that means California government jobs only. I am very creative, friendly, and i like doing things for people to make their lives better. I have a love of horticulture that, if given a chance to go back to get some classes under my belt, I'd be very happy.
I make around 85k a year and I can survive on that in California. I just don't want to be in law enforcement anymore.
