2025.01.22 04:56 Lolo_Ona_Yoyo49 CPU problem?
I have started having issues with my pc out of nowhere. No issues prior as it is a prebuilt pc that has worked fine for a couple years, then it randomly powered off and has the cpu and dram lights on the motherboard (Asrock B650m-c). I have replaced the ram with brand new ram and tried reseating the cpu, but the lights are still on. Also reset the cmos as well. Nothing has changed. Is it possible that the cpu (Ryzen 7 7700x) actually went bad? Or is it more likely a motherboard/PSU issue? Thanks for any help!

2025.01.22 04:56 Comfortable-Term5222 HIMS follow-up says I still have substance abuse for cannabis - got 2 positives in the first six months of a 12 month 14 UA protocol)
I first applied for my medical 3 about 15 months ago. I had discontinued my SSRI prescription many months prior to applying. FAA asked for a psych evaluation that turned into a HIMS protocol for cannabis use. I informed the psychiatrist I had used cannabis the week of the evaluation (my mistake for using, I know :( I was honest about it) Psych Eval came back with everything clear except for cannabis abuse which the doctor prescribed the 12/14 UA protocol, but no further treatment. So, I start the protocol. The 3rd UA was positive (birthday party 4 days before the UA, shit) and then the 7th was positive by 21ml (71ml indicated with a 50ml cut off - essentially I took one puff two days before the UA) All remaining UA’s were negative and I haven’t used at all since then. The follow-up report came back last night and he said I still qualify for the FAA’s criteria for cannabis abuse, and now provided a suggestion that I consider outpatient treatment. He explained his reasoning for this over the phone. I heard him through without getting upset in the least. He says he would understand if I wanted to go to another evaluator, if the FAA calls for more reports from him. I said I will talk to my AME first.
Is this guy being too stringent? What is likely to occur here? I really want to get a private pilots license, and I am truly committed to abstinence, but will it take 2 years of negative UA’s to get special issuance. I’m pretty damn frustrated, I thought being absolutely clean for 6 months would be enough.

2025.01.22 04:56 i1o2p3 I turned on HDR in Windows settings and now my screen is black permanently
When I open up my computer, the screen just stays black. I can go into recovery mode but that's really about it and it doesn't seem that I can turn it off in safe mode (safe mode still works. Like I said, safe mode has like 0 option to turn off HDR. I'm not really sure what to do or what happened, haven't tried much solutions. I have done nothing else that could've caused display issues, the second I turned on HDR, the screen went black. I don't really know how important my PC specifications are but I'm not really sure about it.

Hi my wife wants to make jewelry from seashells, corals and glass shards. I want to gift her a machine for drilling holes in it. First I thought to buy her a pearl drill. Where you have small clamp you can rotate the clamp 180degree and slide back and forth. But the clamping size is only small. Now I'm considering a Dremel. But in my experience Dremel drill bits break really easy. But I never worked on shells. Are there maybe better bits for drilling? Is there a brand you can recommend besides Dremel?
