This is an old school Lenovo N22 laptop windows 10, from my middle school, they gave these away during covid and never ask for them to be returned. I was running an ethernet cable from access point to my switch and my calculations were off about 3 feet. I don’t usually make my own cables. I prefer premade cables partly because I’m no good at making them, anyway I have a good quality, ethernet coupler, and I got to thinking is using one of these pretty much the same as having something into a patch panel and then going into a switch Interested to see what people think.

2025.01.22 01:11 aloe_scent Online async class is not actually online async?
I’m taking some in person classes and some fully online async classes. One of my courses finally opened up and it seems like one of them isn’t fully async remote even though it is labeled as online async. However, the professor for the class is making attendance mandatory and thus, it’s a must to attend a zoom meet weekly.
Is this normal for a fully remote async class to turn out to not be actually the case even if it’s labeled as remote async? I’ve taken some remote async classes before and this was never the case.

2025.01.22 01:11 Mrs_21 Help! Installed new GPU
I’m new to the PC world. A little back story, bought pre built Skytech computer in 2022. Started playing a lot of Marvel Rivals recently and kept getting GPU dumps randomly.
I followed all their instructions and made all the changes. Reached out to my friends who have been in the PC gaming world for years and when I told them I was using a 1060 ti GPU they said I need to upgrade if I’ve done everything to fix it and still getting the error message
I bought a Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4070 Super and a Thermaltake 850W Power Supply to go with it.
I have removed the old GPU & my 600W power supply and installed the new ones.
I can turn on the PC, all fans run, all RGB lights turn on, monitors do not turn on. I have plugged the monitors into all open ports on the GPU and nothing. Idk what to do from here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated 🫡

I was trying to make an instance of Minecraft 1.21.1 with Prism Launcher, but whatever I tried, I could not get the game to recognize the Steam Deck controller. I then tried to create instances in different versions, and none of those recognized the controller either. My instances made before today all recognized the controller fine, but it has just stopped working.
Can anyone help?
