2025.01.22 04:37 Consistent_Lie6448 1/21/2025 - A Day of Reflection and New Ideas
Today was one of those days filled with fresh ideas, prompting me to reflect on the work I've done so far. I started the morning with my usual workout. I worked on my back exercises with the club senior I mentioned yesterday, and it looks like we'll be working out together until next month. Today's performance was mixed; while I set a new record on my first exercise, I actually regressed on the second and third ones. While working out, I noticed that the gym had acquired a lot of fancy new equipment while I was away on my trip. I'm thinking of trying them out next time. At the office, I was going to tackle some customer service tasks, but my team member had already taken care of everything. Even while I was on vacation, he managed to handle tasks in advance and continued to cover for me once I returned, allowing me to focus on other tasks. When I checked the blog, I saw a new request for mutual neighbors. This gave me an idea. As I've been steadily writing these diaries, I've started to receive some attention. I thought it would be great to translate these into English and post them on international platforms to reach more people. So, I began working on a system to automatically translate and post on various platforms. I searched for popular blog platforms using Perplexity and started setting up automation. There were a lot of things to configure and accounts to create on these new platforms, but I think I can finish it by tomorrow. During preparations for user interviews for my personal project MVP development, I encountered an unexpected problem. As soon as I posted, I got banned due to my low activity on the platform. This community seemed like the perfect fit for my goals, but I wasn’t aware of this hidden rule. I ended up spending the day engaging in this community. Though it sometimes felt like a waste of time, seeing others’ stories gave me fresh perspectives. It might be good to engage in such activities during my commuting time in the future. In the evening, I met with my Nocotone team members. We had interesting conversations with people from various backgrounds, including founders and current professionals. I was particularly intrigued by the discussions about the pre-startup packages. More than the package itself, listening to the frequently mentioned items and their reasons made me think it would be a great experience to apply it as a side project. On my way back home, I posted an offer on Eta to develop an app for free. As I wrapped up the day, I couldn’t help but wonder if I'm taking on too much at once. There was this anxiety that maybe there was more to learn from past projects that I deemed failures and halted. But for now, I’ve decided to stick with my current tasks for about a week, track any changes, and then evaluate. Although I couldn’t study financial statements much due to the late meeting, I managed to read through one sub-section.

Our lovely Emily (she's 16 now) was used to wander outside the house (we have a big garden) up until last year when the vet diagnosed her with arthritis and renal issues having us to therefore keep her inside the house 24/7. This had the consequence of her gaining a lot of weight even though she only eats 3 times/day the recommended dosage of the food the vet prescribed for her renal problems.
For the night, we used to keep her in the kitchen/living room area with the door closed in order for her to understand that it's "bed time" and humans are not to be disturbed. She was fine with that up until last week:
Every night, at 4:30am her internal clock waked her up and she started meowing in such a way that makes us think she's physically hurt or about to die, so we rush out of bed and go for the door. As soon as we opened the door, her meowing changed from atrocious to cute, and guides us to the food bowl as she wants us to stay with her when eating (note: the food bowl was already full - she just wanted us to stay with her while she eats).
This week we tried a different approach by filling up the food bowl, keeping the doors open and putting her in bed with us when we go to sleep. Unfortunately that didn't work either: she wakes up at 4:30am and attempts to wake us for the same reason: wanting us to be with her when she eats. Ignoring her is out of the question, she is extremely persistent.
This has becomed a real issue with us because we haven't had a good night's sleep in a week.
If you have had similiar issues in the past and have real suggesions please help us out!

Hello fellow Anglicans. I've got a maybe strange question (and, apparently, very personal): do you hear God speaking to you? If so, how is it manifested to you? Through what means? I mean, I am sure He listens to me (when I pray, for example), but I am not sure I can hear Him. What is your personal experience – if you wish to share, please. Thank you all.

Per title, just wrapped up very first play through.
I was able to save all of the friends the first try, by making decisions I would make in a horror movie situation (staying together, not investigating weird sounds, petting wolfs I just met, etc)
I have informed my wife that if we ever accidentally kill our friends during a prank gone awry and that friends sibling invites us to an abandoned lodge one year later to “hang out”, that she will need to let me assume operational command of the situation to ensure survival.

I was getting petrol filled worth rs150 in activa 125. The guy asked if I wanted to add a pouch in it cost 10₹per sachet. I asked him what it was for, he told me it will increase the average and improve pickup. He added 2 of them. Since I have only recently started driving scooty, I don't know much about it. Can you tell me if I got scammed or it's actually useful? If it does increase the average then how much change can you see?
