2025.01.22 04:36 Bmaj1000 Another question for Blundstone veterans, from a Blundstone rookie
Hey everybody, apologies in advance for yet another post regarding new Blundstones and discomfort, but I'm looking for suggestions on what to do.
The data: Blundstone 585's purchased from REI almost a month ago. Size 13 US. Have worn them for about a total of 12-15 hours, about a quarter which has been spent walking.
The experience: Tried them both with and without the accompanied inserts. Left foot feels fairly comfortable, right foot feels tight, like a couple degrees more than snug to the point where my right foot went slightly numb. Insoles aren't very comfortable for me in either boot. I worn them today for several hours and feel like they're breaking in a little. They feel tight around the top of my feet about halfway up my feet, but I have hope they can break in to a fair degree...maybe? Not sure how long I can walk in these for? Ideally I'd like to have a boot I can do mostly anything in. Obviously 6 hour hikes in the Rockies or playing full court basketball doesn't count lol.
Mind you, I've worn Doc Martens almost every day for 3 years, so maybe it's an adjustment.
So what say you, Reddit? Should keep giving them time, or should I return them? Thanks in advance

2025.01.22 04:36 denkuscrub New Streamer and I need help with OBS Settings!
Hi!! I am a brand new streamer or at least i want to be! I guess i'll start off with i'm working with OBS and an Elgato HD60 X
SO I've got it working and functioning just enough to where i can show the screen of my switch onto OBS and that is basically about it
I've changed a few settings sometimes where i can hear it without lag but then it comes through as desktop audio and so does my friends on discord and my music which obviously i can't have if im streaming or recording But if i change the audio over to the Capture Card's audio it doesn't do that obviously but its laggy and delayed AND i can hear it twice The way i made it to where it didnt lag was by changing some sound settings in my computer which makes sense as to why it comes through as desktop audio but then again we dont want that
And as well as all of this, it looks kind of low res and i tried changing the framerate and some other video settings around but it kinda ends up breaking it
I go to turn it on today and all of my settings that had it functioning ok before have just reset back to how they were when i opened OBS Its so frustrating
All i want I guess is to be able to know what I'm doing so i can actually have it running decently?!
And just another note whenever i stream on discord, i stream my OBS to them and they can see it fine however they can't hear it unless i filter it through the capture card which once again is like double audio and it lags
I guess to summarize I need to know:
- How to make the audio not laggy if it DOES come through the capture card because I want OBS to be able to hear the audio with minimal delay
- How to make it to where i can ALSO hear the audio with minimal delay, possibly without it being through my desktop audio,
- Make it to where my friends can also hear the audio the same quality as both of the others
- Fix the video graphics just a small bit because truly they are subpar
- Maybe learn how to separate everything so If need be I can remove or edit or push some things to the side if need be

2025.01.22 04:36 Tom_Hacker- Some small tips for beginners.
- You don't really need the Fay Staff to refresh resources (like collecting herbs), just exit the location and re-enter it.
- On the 20th, Astral Day, to collect Light Flowers, you can go to the Waterfall location and collect them there. And the most interesting thing is that you can re-enter the Waterfall and the Light Flowers will respawn again. So, in one re-entry into the Waterfall I managed to collect 3 Light flowers once! And in this way I managed to collect 31 flowers total. (Light flowers are needed to buy some items in Caravan Co.)
- For the Timespace Crystal you need 10 Vermilion Rhizome and 4 Rainbow Whiskers. Vermilion Rhizom can be obtained by collecting mushrooms (old town) when defeating monsters. And Rainbow Whiskers can be obtained by defeating some monsters called Moff (with some chance, or you will get Fine Moff).
- On the 20th, Astral Day, there may be a special monster in Forest Trail (I won't give spoilers), with a special drop, also in some dungeons there are 'seasonal monsters', they drop seeds.
- The higher the difficulty of the dungeons, the better the drop and with some chance, you can get weapons or skills for weapons. So you should wander around the dungeons from time to time, and this will also pass the time.
- Also, completing tasks (for example, on the Yano Market) helps to get some money or other resources, which is useful.

the sodastream is only for carbonating water. i know it. i reiterate it when asked. i advise against carbonating any other liquids, so please spare me the messages telling us what already know.
however, just because something isn't advisable, doesn't mean that someone hasn't already done it, and as such, if someone carbonated a bottle of milk, i'd be curious to hear about how it went. how did the liquid react to being carbonated? how was the taste? what's drinking carbonated milk like?
it's probably a certainty that it's been tried. hopefully that person sees this and responds. if not, it'll just remain one of life's great mysteries.

2025.01.22 04:36 UnfoldedHeart The significance of the "pilot" in Incident Two
This was always interesting to me. LRH claimed that Incident Two ended with a picture of a pilot telling the thetan that he's just "mocking it up." I always thought it was interesting that it was specifically a pilot saying this.
In the Scientology cosmology, at this point, the thetan has been nuked, captured, and implanted with the R6 implant. It would seem that the person to introduce this idea would be... well, not a pilot. A pilot flies a plane. At this point in the story, you're done flying in a plane. You're just a recently-brainwashed disembodied spirit.
I can't recall LRH speaking badly of pilots elsewhere. In fact, he seemed to really like military-type guys and regularly used metaphors involving steering a boat or flying a plane.
I assume it's because a pilot is "at the controls" and this particular pilot is at the metaphorical controls of a thetan. But I don't know, I'm open to speculation. Just a really interesting subject to me.
