This right here is why I will never accept Z as equals. They all got handed a pile of shit just like us Millennials. We were there at the beginning of the internet and cellphones. Adapting to a fast moving landscape left to us by the unhinged old farts (X tried to help in a way). Now were we eager to get this responsibility? Hell fucking no! Point is we had to adapt to our environment more than any generation before us. We paved the way for Z to get the best of both worlds. Now that Z is here and trying to make a difference what do they do instead? It’s not the crying, it’s not the gross negligence, and it’s not even the attention span of a fucking goldfish from the iPads. They are way too soft! Z has no idea how the real world works and think the world is fair. Every single one of them has the opportunity to follow the paths we all laid out for them (hell take college out of the mix). As someone who has traveled the world for years and spent most of my adult life out of the US I just look down on the younger generation; especially in the US. They will never be able to take my job; not a single one of them has the skill set to even remotely be within competition for it. Want to know the best part? Another veteran that was a millennial could.

Me (F16) and my boyfriend (M17) have been dating for two months, but seeing each other for just over 5. Prior to that we had been working together for 2 years.
For the past 2 years I haven't celebrated my birthday, mainly because my best friend moved away and I don't have many other close friends I would want to celebrate with.
About a week ago I was at work and my manager sent out our roster. I checked my shifts and then my boyfriends and saw he was working on my birthday, and must have forgotten to ask for it off. I didn't ask him to but I thought he would because I would do the same. Later that night I was talking to him on the phone and he checked his shifts and then realized. I told him it was fine and I didn't do anything on my birthday but he said he would get it off anyway because he wanted to see me. However, he finishes at 7 so he also offered to just come afterwards.
Last night I called him and was saying how I am babysitting my little cousin on my birthday if he wanted to come with. He said he would come and say hi but then had to work. I said okay sounds good and then he said "Then after work I'll go to archie's if that's okay because I want to see you on your birthday."
I was confused and asked what archies is and he said it was his old friends 18th that his brother is going to with some of their old friends.
As well as this, I have never done anything on new years so I was excited to spend it with him this year. Before Christmas I had asked if he had any plans and he said he had been invited to things but said no because he wanted to do something with me. I asked him a few days before new years what he wanted to do and he said "I'm spending it with my cousin, did we make plans?"
I know I told him I don't do anything on my birthday but I wish he didn't say he would cover his shift or come afterwards because I feel like it gave me false hope. On top of this he did mention his friends 18th a few months ago so he must have already known when he said he could see me. Am I wrong for being a little bit upset about it?

I was training prayer at the chaos alter and had a pker kill me pretty much every inventory, usually I used all my bones before I died or only lost a couple, but because of all the league worlds the handful ragging for the bones just rotate so quick that the same pkers show up every few minutes. The loss of bones is expected and not an issue, but the fact that pkers have so few worlds to hop means that wilderness content in general is so much harder to do.

I just got my Mirena removed today and my gyn sent out a referral to a local surgeon for a bi-salp. I’m excited and eager to get the procedure, but my main issue is that I live alone, don’t have a partner, and have zero friends in the area.
I’m getting in touch with a medical liaison to see about transportation since I’m assuming UbeLyft isn’t allowed, but I’m also worried about needing help at home after the procedure.
Have any of you been in this situation before? What did you do? Were you able to take care of yourself alone?
I’m getting my procedure covered through Veterans Affairs if that matters. Thank you for your help.

 | I’m adding handles to a cabinet door. Pictured is the effect I need to accomplish: a 1/8” deep mortise and a similar notch on the edge. The material is Baltic birch with Formica. How should I go about this, with minimal chance of chipping the Formica? My plan was to do this with a trim router + jig, but I’m getting some chipping.
