2025.01.22 04:54 Oblivion239 Tried to start streaming, obs was dropping 50%-65% of my frames
Wanted to try streaming and everything was going well for about 30 minutes before obs started dropping almost all of my frames causing the stream to lag more and more as time went on. I tried running as admin, turning on hardware-accelerated GPU, and some other stuff. My video bitrate is set to 6000 Kbps in output and I have maximum streaming bandwidth set to 6000 Kbps also. My internet connection is through an ethernet cable with a download speed of 485 Mbps and an upload speed of 11 Mbps (about 6.5 Mbps when I tested while streaming). Don't know what else I could try to stop obs from dropping so many frames. Please help

2025.01.22 04:54 WtfSlz What "coding" can provide as additional feature while making a game in RPG Maker?
I'm new with RPG Maker and my objective is to create 2D games, and I was playing around with the program. I was being able to create my characters with different styles (drawing them with unique style, transparent background etc), putting them in the map, drawing my owns Tilesets, creating the dialogues, the purpose of why this and that were happening, reactions and consequences (like you press a button and a door in a specific area open, etc). Like, a lot of things that by seeing that in a general way i end up thinking "Yeah, this is... a game, need some more quality sure, but the fundamental aspect is there! And at any moment i use coding!"
But then i notice that there's also "coding" in the process of creation of popular RPG Maker games. I hate coding, but sure, i'll end up having to learn that at some point. But the thing is... I know coding is there, and, in theory, is relevant. But...
Why it's relevant? What would be examples of things coding CAN provide that the program itself CAN'T provide by the options that they offer? I would like to understand more the mandatory aspect of it.
(I'm asking this by the perspective of someone that NEVER was into coding, that dont know anything about the terms or such effects in rpg maker and probably will not focus in creating my own plugins... So if possible, please, who wants to explain, please use simple terms)
