Just got back home after spending the most wonderful 10 days in Thailand this January, and I had to come here to say a proper thank you to this subreddit. Seriously your tips and advice were super helpful! From the busy lanes of Bangkok to the peaceful beaches of Phuket, the cool mountains of Chiang Mai, and those stunning limestone cliffs in Krabi—every bit of this trip was mind-blowing.
Special shoutout to all the members here who shared their experiences. Because of your suggestions, I: - Ate enough pad thai, mango sticky rice, and tom yum from street stalls to last a lifetime (and still craving more!). - Visited temples like Wat Arun and Wat Pho without any hiccups—learned to take off my shoes and dress modestly, thanks to your reminders! - Explored less-crowded islands (shoutout to Koh Lanta!) and even spent a day at an ethical elephant sanctuary. Pro tip: Do not skip this if you love animals!
But what really made Thailand unforgettable? The people! Their smiles, patience, and kindness—whether it was aunties at the market laughing at my broken Thai ("mai pet, na kha!") or strangers helping me figure out tuk-tuk routes. Felt like home away from home, honestly.
Best memory? Sitting by the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok during sunset, sipping coconut water, and thinking, "Life doesn’t get better than this."
To anyone thinking of visiting Thailand: JUST DO IT. This country has something for everyone—chaotic cities, quiet beaches, spicy food, and the kindest souls. And to this community, a big dhanyavaad for being my unofficial tour guide.

I keep seeing people die because you all go near the structure after the Hermit Crab Spawns and a little bit after the event ends.
It deals electric damage, and keeps doing so even after the event ends. You need to wait for David Shuffleworth to stop talking before the electrical damage stops. I've seen a lot of people lose loot because it gets stolen when others die because they forgot.
