im running a pirate theme game and I found a mini with a gun but a magic staff at the end and i thought i would try and make it so hears what i have so far and feed back would be great.
most mages use staffs and wands however the advancements in technology has made it possible to mix both gunpowder and magic. The Magic rifle is a standard rifle with the end of magic staff at the end being used to infuse magic into the bullets.
When your attuned to the weapon after every long rest you can infuse up to four bullets with any touch spell of any level but must wait until another long rest to change the spells
also when you infuse the bullets you must use a spell slot of the level spell you want to infuse onto the bullet.
those who are not magically gifted can also use this to cast magic. When you do not posse any magical ability's the gun has up to 5 charges with the charges being used for either
1 charge- magic missile at 1st level up to 150 feet
3 charges- fire bold at 5th level at up to 250 feet
5 charges- fire inflict wounds at 4th level up to 300 feet
you get 1 charge after every 12 hours
you get 3 charges after every short rest
you get 5 charges after ever long rest
