So I made a very similar post about this back in July, however none of the solutions fizzed my iPad. This has been a problem that has been going on since around June. Since then, in August my iPad suddenly my fixed. I didn’t do anything. I just left it in a little cubby/cabinet and when I pulled it out the screen turned on like nothing had happened. It worked for like maybe 3 weeks at most. Then all of a sudden it went black again. And now to this day I haven’t been able to get the screen back on. I know it’s turned on because I can hear the sounds of random numbers being tapped on the password screen. I tried the instructions on the apple website, but unless I’m doing it wrong, nothing happens. I use my iPad for drawing often and I have a lot of stuff (for my YouTube channel and whatnot) saved on the iPad that I don’t have anywhere else, so it’s kind of important that I can use my iPad again. If you have anything, ANYTHING, that can help that won’t erase any of my stuff on there, please tell me. And don’t just say “take it to an Apple Store. That’s my last ditch plan if everything else fails, but for now I’d like to stick to options that are FREE.

Using a Samsung Galaxy S23 and unable to get either Pandora or Spotify to show up in the infotainment system when using Android Auto on a '25 Subaru Legacy Sport. Both worked fine in Android Auto in my previous car which was an Acura RDX.
Anyone have ideas for how to fix this?

I [M21] am traveling to Japan in early June with a small group. We will conclude our tip in Tokyo and are looking for an easy day trip to an area with cool mountain town or country vibes. We are not experienced hikers, so maybe something chill. I've been seeing a lot of recs for Kamakura, Harkone, Okutama, Nikko, Kawagoe, etc. We are already planning to visit Kamakura/Enoshima, and the others seem to be the go-to places, but are there other niche places that are worth checking out?

I’m 28 and I am on track to meet my first goalpost of a million in 9 more years. This is based on an interest calculator maxing out my 401(k), HSA, and Roth IRA every year for 9 more years. I began investing in my early 20’s at some point and gradually increased my contributions as I made more. I still live frugally (don’t own a home yet) but I throw all my money into investments/savings.
I’ve been working to some degree since I was 13 but legally since I was 17. I’m tired and my goal is to retire early. I will likely wait until 50 to actually retire and would have around 4 million by then but working for another 22 years sounds like hell.
How can I reach my first fire goalpost faster than 9 years? What age did you fully retire? Is there any harm in retiring too early?

So I'm following an venezuelan-american analog photographer on instagram (@modoshoot) whos frequently doing street photograpy and now wanted to try it myself. I shoot on Pentax sfx and nikon f2. Does anybody have any tips on how to go about especially when it comes to being quick etc. How helpful is it to demount the nikon f2 viewfinder (I saw a video of a german dude doing it on a camera to be more invisible I guess?) thanks for any advice!

2025.01.22 04:52 BeechHorse Is it acceptable/safe to pull a ceiling box into the attic and use it as a j-box for recessed lighting circuit?
I am installing recessed led’s (not the wafer kind but 2 and 3 inch deep recessed) and the wiring is old but works fine. Can I just pull the boxes the surface mount lights were attached to into the attic like this, secure them to joists and branch off them for the led recessed lights? (I know they need a cover).
- or should I have replaced these with new j-boxes? What would a good electrician do?
