2025.01.22 08:51 beapropermuslim 8BitDo Retro 108 and Ultimate V2 Software issues
 | have set up and updated the 8BitDo Retro 108 keyboard and 8BitDo PC software and the firmware of both the keyboard and the dongle. I am facing two issues that I think are interconnected - 1. I have configured the on-board A & B buttons to simulate mouse clicks of Left & Right; however, I noticed that they only work while on the USB connection and don't work on the 2.4 GHz wireless connection. The Profile Button was On during 2.4 GHz mode. 2. Then there's the weird profile bug where it shows a profile with the same name already, but it does not change if I delete the conflicting profile or activate the other, it just shows the same error as shown in the image (image attached at the end). To troubleshoot, I repaired the keyboard with the dongle, deleted my profile, and everything in between. Also, I run the Ultimate software from another drive other than C, as instructed by 8bitdo support, with admin authority. Several emails to support instructed me on what I had already done. Following are the current versions as of today -

29M in the South East with ÂŁ70k saved for a deposit. Looking at buying, but the right property hasn't come up yet. Only options available are about a 25 to 30 minute drive from where I live now.
Would it be better to rent in an area 25 to 30 minutes away to test it out first for 1 year, or should I bite the bullet and buy? I'm worried property prices etc. go up a lot in 1 year, but I have also heard that interest rates look like they will be coming down towards the end of 2025.

So this is a new one.
Tonight about 45 minutes ago, I see someone in the monitor struggling with the front door key reader. No worries. Happens all the time. Card probably just got de-magnetized.
This short cowboy comes in and says his key is not working. Has a key sleeve and a key that looks like our key sleeves and keys.
So far so good. Room says it's 319. I look at the card - and there's no magnetic stripe. We are still using that gawd-awful technology, and I'm pretty sure the other hotels with our same name in town are as well. So that's weird. What's the name on the room? Nope. No one by that name on that room. You say you may have checked out this morning? Nope. No one with your name has stayed with us in at least the last month. Clearly you are at the wrong hotel.
At this point, he calls the group he is with and asks which hotel they are at. Now, I work at a hotel just north of Portland, OR. Where does this guy have a room?
Seattle, WA. At least 2 - 2 1/2 hours north.
Now, the guy was slow... but not drunk. Apparently he and some other people had visited Mt. St. Helens today, and he told his GPS to take him to the (insert hotel name here) and off he went, not realizing he was going in the opposite direction of where he was supposed to be. And, apparently, they have flights out tomorrow, so right now he's driving north in the middle of the night to maybe get a short nap before heading out again.
AI fucked him.
But really - that's an embarrassing mistake. Get your life together, man!
