any headphones ive ever had have always worked on the green jack which registers them as speakers. got new headphones today with a splitter and they play absolutely horrible because its convinced its a speaker but i cant get audio elsewhere

I despise this shit so much . My pain is so bad right now for whatever reason . Long story short I have cerebral palsy and the tension from my muscles creates a terrible all over body pain but one that feels like a heavy weight is on my lower abdomen too . I’m tired I want to sleep but it just doesn’t happen :(. Only time I sleep is when i have been up for over 30 hours and then maybe get to pass out for a few hours . Man I’m 23 sure as fuck don’t feel like it ever. I’m just exhausted I guess this is somewhat of a vent Idek. Yes I’ve tried pain clinics neurologist, a fuck ton of things that I can’t bother to remember because they did fuck all .. had 6 surgeries to help combat the Cerebral palsy as a kid . But it’s still always so unpleasant being here being alive … what do you guys do when the pain is flaring up and unbearable. I’d give anything to get to live life how most people my age are… yeah some could say not working because you can’t is cool it’s really not. I feel so helpless and feel like I’m just stuck behind because of this stupid pain. I hate it here .

Hi all, I have recently purchased a double storey property in QLD. Downstairs is not legal height but has a separate entrance/kitchen/bathroom/living space. If I lease out this property to someone and they choose to sublet downstairs or have family members living downstairs despite it not being legal height, am I liable/responsible legally? Or in any way?
I am aware that I can specify that subletting is not an option but what happens if it is being sublet in secret without my knowledge? And worse case scenario the council finds out. Will I be fined?
Would appreciate any advice or insight from someone with similar experience. TIA

Wont be doing any uplifts, so a bike that is considered good for climbing would be a plus. Any recommendations?

I started doing photography for fun with my Rebel SL3 and its doing everything I need it to do. Last year I started charging for it and I've be getting more clients after that. It started as a side hussle while looking for a more stable job but by the look of things I might do it full time after a year or more. Depending on the business.
The photos still turns out really well but I've been noticing a few problem specially in low light. Im thinking of upgrading into a full-frame within this year and would like to stay with canon simply so I can still use my other lenses with an adaptor.

For the budget Id like to know the best cheapest there is. I do not mind spending its just that if I can get it cheaper without downgrading the quality. Id prefer not to spend more than I should.

ok, this post is about how i assume all female drivers are bad drivers, with good reason and i want you to hear me out on this one and tell me your opinion
note: i dont think all women are bad drivers i am just more wary of them due to my experience just like i am wary of an auto driver etc. i also dont wanna hear people making this men vs women. yes men are the reason for fatal accidents but here it wasnt one at was a minor one involving the public
so, a few months ago, i had a minor collision with a scooter (i was in a car) and she was a women this happened as she was attempting to take left without indicator and initially i did not even notice her and thought she will go straight but at soon as i saw her intentions i stopped completely but she couldnt break on time and slightly scratched near the front right light .
seeing this all i did was open my window and she started apologizing a lot i looked at the damage and was like damn that sucks and i waved my hand for her to leave, out of no where some shopkeeper or someone just came in asked her what happened she briefly mentioned the collision and started weeping and the the uncle started shouting at me without even hearing what my side, soon two more people joined in and i was fully blank at this point and then one guy asked me to give money to her as you could have taken her life as i was in a bigger vehicle and hearing this she also started getting in my face
thank god a truck driver came in said he needs to go and we were blocking his way and he resolved everything (spoke to them and stuff) and i was able to leave.
now during a friendly discussion with friends i said "beware of female drivers" in a normal tone not intending any offence to anyone but one of my friend got offended and she started shouting at me saying "how can you think like this" and "idiots like you are the reason" etc
now i did not mention about this incident as the argument soon ended but it got me thinking was i wrong for thinking like that although having experienced what i have experienced?

People often ask me "Why don't you go out and meet people who are just like you?" but the truth is, I can't relate to a good 98% of them either.
Every single ND-specific community I've tried joining has been full of people who have surpassed me in every single way. People who can hold down jobs, have social lives and even romantic relationships..."Normal people" things I can only ever dream of.
I even had to stop being friends with a few autistic guys I knew at different points in my life because the intense jealousy I felt for them took a toll on my mental health. Every interaction was a bitter reminder of my own failure as a human being.
Even among "my own" I am an outsider. It genuinely feels like I don't b*long in this world.

I recently bought an N64 because I love playing older, classic games on original hardware. I saw a good deal on a console with 4 controllers. I had no idea that N64 joysticks were so infamous until I got the controllers, and found all the joysticks loose. This wasn't unfair of the seller considering the low buying price, but all 4 controllers needed work.
I saw that everybody on this subreddit was recommending Kitsch-Bent, and saying third party controllers and Gamecube controllers were terrible. I saw a thread in which someone specifically asked what third party controller was best, and got told by several people that the answer was 'none' and that they should get Kitsch-Bent parts because it's 'cheap and easy'. To shoot straight past the user's specific question and tell them to do something else is quite a strong recommendation.
My first lesson was that 'cheap' doesn't apply outside the US. Kitsch-Bent delivery is a big deal anywhere else. I was assured, however, that this was absolutely the best way to go quality wise, so I bit the bullet and bought a bunch of parts to be shipped internationally. I also bought super lube, and researched how to replace the parts thoroughly. When they arrived, one bowl was already broken, but that was fine, as I had ordered a couple of spares.
Replacing the parts didn't work for me initially. So I researched more: plastic flashing, faulty Kitsch-Bent parts, how specifically the gears work so I could lubricate them with absolute precision, homebrew testing. I was doing everything shown in the videos and more. Still, my sticks felt terrible, and worked even worse than they did before. I spent hours trying everything I could, with many different Kitsch-Bent parts, and never got it to function well.
I eventually gave up and bought a Hyperkin Captain controller... and its great. I honestly have no problems with it all. I like the Gamecube stick, and have no problems picking up sensitive movements. Maybe its not exactly the same for someone who mastered all of these games as a child, but for the vast majority of people, it's clearly fine.
In the end, I wished I'd done this from the word go. I wasted a lot of time, money and energy on Kitsch-Bent. 'Cheap' only applies to the US, and I don't consider any process which involves precision sanding of the plastic flashing of gears to be 'easy'.
I think some people need to take a step back and consider the needs of an average gamer, someone who doesn't care that much about the difference between 95% and 100% accurate, someone who doesn't know by default how to deal with gears and lubricating bowls. And I think Kitsch-Bent can hardly be called high quality, and 'tried and tested', if their parts are (as admitted by many) essentially faulty a large amount of the time.
This is only my experience and people have a right to their own of course, and a right to give their own advice. But this a warning from me to any others newbies to the N64 to consider an easier route.
TLDR: I wasted time and money on Kitsch-Bent and am having a better experience with a Gamecube stick.
